I just want to say.. WOW what a wild weekend we've had since last gathered to watch trial!!

It's only been 4 days but feels like a month!.. Glad everyone is here & ready to watch a Juanderful Rebuttal~~~

ITA And that's what worries me! I absolutely believe it was premeditated first degree murder, but giving the jury this option may tempt those on the fence to go with the lesser charge.

Anyone know what the penalty is for this new suggested charge?

I don't get it...
HOW can they add this in, as she claimed she did this in self defense of her life. HOW can this even be an option now? Do they put her back up on the stand?

Can someone in the know explain this please?

I know this is a broken record but, yet AGAIN, this judge has NO respect for the courts time OR even more important, the JURORS TIME. Every day this court is late, delaying the jurors from doing their job, the more frustrated these men and women are becoming. They have been held hostage by constant delays by the Defense, the Judge etc. We all know these poor men and women have to be fatigued and I can only imagine their frustration, as we are all to the point of pure disgust, well at least I am anyway. There is NO excuse for the constant tardiness, regardless if they are back in chambers, that this something they should have handled BEFORE the starting time of 9:30. No worries though, it's just the Taxpayers money they are wasting...isn't like it that big of a deal. Yeah, right.

Wildabouttrial broke his/her ankle a few days ago. To help get around, he/she has been using a scooter type thing where the knee and lower part of leg "lay" and you use your other leg to push it around. "Knee Scooter"
Hope that makes sense......

I just wanted to say one thing about ALV since a lot of people were talking about her. I don't think she is in my opinion a true expert on domestic violence. I think of her more as an advocate. She has been doing this job for over 35 years and I think she can no longer be an objective evaluator. Her ideas are dated and she is used to telling people things to an audience and not being challenged on her ideas. With her testifying in this case, she was challenged and let's face it, being biased for Jodi Arias. In her own words, she was looking for domestic abuse no matter how small or nonexistent.

Being an advocate isn't a bad thing, I think just think she shouldn't have testified based on a lie. A lie she wanted to believe.

Oh, I absolutely agree but something that actually makes me sad...several advocates I know, or know of, intentionally refrain from using she/he; her/him in reference to victim vs. abuser. They would never conceive of stalking being defined by the victim's actions, or lack thereof. Or negating controlling behaviors consistent with an abuser. A few have been doing this every bit as long as her too. Few, if any, have gained a nationally televised stage though.

If a person looks at all the evidence in this case and cannot see that it is first-degree murder then no amount of convincing can help. Hope the jurors see this case for what it is.
