Video footage would have been helpful, but I am thinking they prolly do not keep video footage from what was the year, 2008?

I'm sorry...I don't mean to offend anyone, I know there are some very intelligent people out there that work at Walmart...not where I live, but I'm sure they are out there. But the fact that a Walmart employee is giving testimony in a DP case just gives me the hebbie geebies.

I've done Loss prevention for 16 years and she would be the only one qualified at wal-mart to do this kind of testimony.

IIRC, there are 2 Walmarts in Salinas, wonder if we are going to hear the return was done at a different store? They've known this was coming for a while now, so surely have a mitigation plan?

Jodi's receipt has the store number on it. She testified she went back to the same store. No confusion over stores.

  • #1,084
But didn't she say that she turned around and went right back into the store she'd bought it from after grabbing her strawberry frap from next door?

She did, but probably forgot she did. Can't keep track of the lies...:fence:

SO here ya go jury. See, Jodi is an equal opportunity liar. She lied to Travis, she lied to her parents, she lied to her friends, she lied to the police, she lied to her "experts", she lied to the court - SHE LIED TO YOU!

Hope they are connecting those dots. Although if they aren't I am sure JM will hammer it home for them.

This is clearly not my Walmart, because there is always a line at the returns area.

I think they're getting to that! You know how it's either the return area or a couple of registers that handle returns?

He's going to have to go through tons of returns. Ugh.

Good morning! Good testimony today so far. Is Juan wearing a salmon tie (for realz)?? And did he get a haircut?

  • #1,089
I am kind of pleased this employee spelled SKU incorrectly. It gives Nurmi something to 'attack' ---which will look silly. JMO

I am not being pejorative in the slightest...but how did JW get rid of her bald spot? It isn't a comb-over...I am genuinely confused (and again, not being pejorative).

I bet she uses "Cobuki" it's a dusting powder the shade of your hair....dust it on.....full head o'hair.

:twocents: human error (won't work: she has repeatedly lied and juror questions reflect that they don't believe her)

Maybe the fog set in much earlier than previously reported by their client

"You spin me right 'round, baby
Right 'round like a record, baby
Right 'round, 'round, 'round, "

Thank You. Now that song is stuck in my head! :rocker:

And JM continues to blow away any kind of successful rebut from Nurmi.

  • #1,095
It's too much to hope for that the Defense would say No questions for this witness your Honor

  • #1,096
JM please clarify to the jury that you are not just referring to returns with receipts, but ALL returns!

  • #1,097
JW looking a bit miffed.

  • #1,098
DT is talking a lot at their desk. They are trying to figure out a strategy to fix this. Problem is they can't.

  • #1,099
Did Willmott get a new manicure after talk of the gory looking red tipped nails?

28-30 registers in the store on June 3, 2008
Each register was checked for a 24 hour period..exhibit #634
There was no refund for the gas can Jodi bought in any register journal

I think Jodi is eyeing the pen Nurmi left on his yellow pad during sidebar

Remember Hannibal Lector and the pen?
