Can someone answer a question for me concerning the gun shot? JA got up on the stand and showed how TA was coming at her like a linebacker, and she shot him in the head. I think Juan did that for a specific reason. Now here is my question about the gun, if JA was facing him, how did the bullet go in above his eyebrow downward into his cheek? If she was facing him how would that be possible? It wouldn't matter what way his head was turned, she would have to be above him to get the bullet to go in that way, or am I crazy?

That's one of JA's absurdities that Dr. Horn will debunk on rebuttal.

Ok, sorry dani.

I did google and on the first page didn't see anything other than regular corks and clay pots.

I am not sure I will look beyond that and maybe stay a virgin on that topic. :blushing:

I did the same and decided I don't want to know enough to pursue the search.

Hey, wait a minute on that printing thing. I have never used cursive as an adult -- lots of people don't, but it doesn't make them childish. :) In her case, well...can't argue a lot about the content of those journals.

couldn't tell you the last time I used cursive, except for my signature. Probably since high school.

Until yesterday I believed the BS story of Travis not being affectionate in public. It appears we was very affectionate to JA, it makes me sick the more I learn of him the more I see he was a very good man whom JA brought the worst out of him. She is pure evil.

It seemed he was very affectionate. If you watch the entire video, she sits up and you can see their hands are clasped. Instead of letting her hand go when she moves his arm from around her, he keeps holding it.

Certainly doesn't seem like a man who had no affection for her at all and wanted to keep her as a secret.

Does anyone know when any court proceedings will begin today?

THANKS.

Good Morning fellow WSers. Yesterday was, for me, the second worst day of the trial. Not only was I uber angry but sick at my stomach. There is a special place in hell for KN. Please don't tell me he was only doing his job. Why didn't JW do the questioning of Deanna? Because, IMO, KN gets off on sexual questioning and by him doing the questioning it seemed even more salacious. I actually expected to see him start drooling at any moment. I stopped posting because I knew I would get TO'd or banned. What he did to Deanna and Travis' siblings yesterday went far beyond 'his job.' I was so upset that I called a friend, a well known defense attorney (who I never ask legal questions unless I am desperate) and asked him his opinion about KN's questioning of Deanna. He didn't see it, so I emailed him the link to watch. After watching it, he called me and agreed with me and us, that this was not only cruel and inhuman. It did more harm to his case than any good that could have come from it. He offended every female on the jury, in the court room and in the watching audience. He offend males who could relate to Deanne being their wife, daughter, girlfriend, niece etc. He offended every Morman in the world. And he once again escalated the general personna that defense attorneys are scum bags (his words not mine). He said there was an acceptable way these questions could have been asked that might be offensive to some, but not to the masses. I felt better knowing that even someone like my friend was offended by KN.

After catching up on the testimony today I was actually grateful that I had to head out to an appointment part way through. I would have almost definitely been put in time out..I was seething at KN's "questioning" of Deanna. What he did was despicable and I am almost positive it backfired and I agree, he ended up hurting his case not helping it one bit.

When I saw Travis' family crying I teared up too. I think everyone did. They have been put through hell and the DT has no low that they will not sink to in trying to save their guilty client. But I have faith that in the end justice will prevail. And when the word "GUILTY" of first degree murder is said followed by the DP, it will wipe the smirk right off Jodi Arias' smug face forever!

I was thinking she may have rolled him onto a sheet, for the dragging part. He would've been MUCH easier to drag, while pulling him. Also, never underestimate the super-human strength of a crazy person, with adrenaline rushing through their veins. Make no mistake, she LOVED EVERY SECOND of murdering him. I have NO DOUBTS about this. I just hope she gets convicted of murder 1. She and her crime are HEINOUS.
It's still blows my mind how few "visible" injuries (finger, scratches she later blamed on the cat) she sustained during her murderous rage. I don't know how any juror could look at what happened to Travis vs. Jodi's lack of injuries and remotely buy into her claim of self-defense.

One five gallon gas can full of gas would weigh thirty one pounds and she was able to pick up and remove (unless she filled them in the trunk) them. I don't think she saved much in gas with ninety three pounds in the trunk. That's a lot of weight to carry in the trunk.

Especially getting them out to refill them and putting them back in the truck in SLC after TA "body slammed" her and her shoulder still hurt.......

not to mention when she got them out in AZ to fill the car up....

So was thinking again about Jodi dragging Travis back to the shower.

I still can't fathom how she physically did this? Part of me thinks there was a 3rd party involved. What do you guys think?

I think this is how she hurt her shoulder. She has a shoulder she said was injured by being slammed or some such drivel, I think she hurt it dragging his dead body around.

I am 5'1", weight 115, my DH is 5'11" weights 190lbs....our tiled hall is 11'7"...I convince him to let me see if I could pull him naked down the hall...he watches the trial with me so he knew what I was doing....and agreed...BLESS HIS HEART!! :floorlaugh: I did it and it was difficult...his butt/back/thighs/heels were scrapped. And his head knocked on the tile. :scared: I pulled him by grabbing is wrists, his arms were extended over his head...it was kind of like a heave ho motion, over and over. We didn't have any water or blood to help with the movement. No 3rd party needed. And if there had been a 3rd party JA would have given them up a long time ago. SHE DID THIS ALONE!! :moo:

As much as Nurmi went way too far with regards to the Travis' alleged sexual deviancy,
Nurmi is doing his job to the best of his ability. He did not sign up for this. He had no choice to take on this case. moo

Was there another Nurmi on cross yesterday? I didn't see the one you speak of...........

BBM -

after watching her yesterday and see her write and erase the way she was, she was without a doubt in my mind...... Drawing.

It is reported this morning in one of the papers from GB, that she is drawing pictures of the family and other people to help pay for her defense. I don't know if I can say what paper....so I will leave it at that. The paper did have the family pics and then the drawings postd side by side.

I did ask the lawyers about the drawing and selling, but I do not know how to bring that post over...maybe mods can help me out this time? TY

Mods...am going to try and send you a link to the article.

I feel like a kid again, sitting in the back seat of the minivan on family vacation...

"ARE WE THERE YET??????????????????"

Is there any indication in the record that JA is capable of feeling "the slightest bit inadequate"? I'm drawing a blank.

Oh, I think she manifests inadequate feelings via anger. If she feels threatened or challenged, she takes it personally and reacts with venom.

I think grabbing him under his arms from behind would be easier and then dragging..Maybe I will try that later with my hubby.

It would be interesting to know what date was on the cheque that JA gave TA the day he was killed. She went to great lengths to avoid detection that she was there that day, such as turning off cell phone, gas cans etc. The cheque was found on TA's desk, I'd be surprised if it was dated the day she gave it to him. Also why not just give him cash for a relatively small amount of money, particularly as she'd been to the bank depositing cash so recently?
I also think returning this money is the only reason TA initially agreed to see her.
She dated the check May 25--doesn't mean she wrote it then, mailed it, etc. Could have easily been hand delivered on June 4: Here's a link: http://i49.tinypic.com/15ccwuh.jpg Think she purposely asked Detective Flores if Travis had cashed the check to make it seem like she had sent it to him well before his death.
