Why didn't Einstein just delete ALL of the pics? Would've been much easier and QUICKER!

JMO - the DT should rethink the issue of bringing on one more head doc with a reputation of being a hired gun to continue the bogus claims of DV, PTSD, or BPD or any other freaking thing supposedly wrong with Ms. Arias. The jury is as over this garbage as we are, they know they have been lied to, and all they want to do IMO is fulfill their duty and be done. If the DT thinks for one minute that JM will not go after their third hired gun and destroy him as well, they are living in Jodi's alternate reality surrounded by fog and blood.

And how many "paid" experts can you bring on, trying to convince this NOT stupid jury that JA is a great gal? It's already old, like 1982, and they're just going to dig themselves deeper with those jurors.

I feel that Jodi wrote the 25th of May on the check..but that it was really written closer to June 4th if not June 4th. She just wanted it to look like she wrote it earlier. My guess is that she used it as a reason to go to Mesa and tell Travis she had a check for him. I am guessing she never intended for that check to be cashed.

Uh huh, my thought exactly. He knew she was going on her "road trip," so she "surprised" him and said "hey honey I just had your check in the car and well I was on my way to Utah so I just thought, hey what the heck, I'll just stop by and give it to you myself, aren't ya happy honey??".

There was a good post about this last night -- sorry, don't recall the poster. Their theory was that she was concerned that given how many photos were already on the camera there was bound to be at least one person who would mention something to the police about "Travis' new camera," particularly because they would realize that they were in some of the last photos he had taken. It does make a certain amount of sense. Whether she thought it out that far or not is a different matter, but I liked the theory.

Suzie Dittman a fraud investigator for JP Morgan Bank is on the list of witnesses. WOW. May 2008, Travis called jodi a sociopath, evil, and a scammer. Did she rob him? Remember he told her to tell the truth otherwise he would tell everyone what she did? Including her mother. Remember she told Det. Flores during the interrogation that she would never hurt Travis. He was good to me and gave me money. She must of realized they were onto something. She might try and say Travis gave her permission to access his money. Another thing comes to mind. She told Det.Flores, "why would I hurt Travis? He did not rape me." My gut tells me she recieved help after she killed Travis. How would she get someone to help her? She may have said she was raped. Someone helped her get rid of the evidence. This is what I believe. IMO of course

I am going around and around with this entire June 4th scene but especially, her get-away.
The fact that she called Matt hours after killing Travis, never sat well with me. I mean, why?

A WS member brought up yesterday their confusion as to why Arias filled up 3 times (with 3 different gas cans? ) after she killed Travis. S/he asked, what was the purpose.

I immediately thought that Arias might've been covering her bases for when the day came and she would be asked about those 'borrowed' gas cans. I figured Arias was going through the motions of filling up before and after just to show there was no stealthy reason other than to have extra protection in case she got lost and didn't want to run out of gas.

I kinda felt that was way too much planning, reasoning and considering even for Stabby-Einstein so I started to consider this: Could Matt have met her in Utah and be the recipient of this extra gas purchase (if not, the 3rd can)?
I question this because of THIS accidental (?) statement Arias made:

"Matt hadn't answered his phone until he was there"

"There"....where?

It doesn't really matter because Arias will be charged with 1st degree murder. There is no way this jury isn't seeing what we're seeing. In fact, her defense team is doing more harm than good which I have to believe is--- 'karma' doing its thing!!

Great Post!

I agree, the last week before the killing seemed to be intensified.

Travis was clearly done with Jodi and her she went to extreme levels to rid of him. What did she do/say that was so bad? Did she threaten to release the phone sex tape to everyone? I think something with regards to their private sex life was the catalyst of Jodi' premeditation to kill.

BBM~ Then why, oh why, did he have sex with her on Jun4? Did she walk in? Did she sneak in? Did she call him parked nearby and said she was in Mesa? I doubt that as we have no phone calls made in AZ. All the questions, ugh.

Finally, if Travis was in fear for his life, he would've texted/called someone?

BBM : I have said this from day one, I believe she had him under control from the moment she got there, whether with a gun or knife, otherwise I believe with all my heart he would have texted someone, while she was in the restroom or whatever, " Holy Sheep **** guess who just showed up at my house " or something just as a fyi to his friends. JMHO

While it's true that Jodi misuses many words, she has an innate ability to express herself verbally, and she is quite confident in doing so. I'm sure that Jodi's speech patterns are much different when she's in the jail where she probably tries to fit in with others there who don't have the same level of verbal intelligence that Jodi does. Many people "dumb down" their speech patterns when they're with people who are not in the same intellectual league. I do it, and I'm sure that others here do it, as well. :moo:

I agree. And she has a superb ability to morph into the people she is with.

I think the computer guy said there wree 90+ pics, so she didn't have time to do that.

Thank you for explaining what I thought was some strange "street slang" that JA would periodically blurt out during her testimony. I'm sure she learned a lot of it growing up but she probably does use it more often lately in her current living conditions.

MOO
It's also worth mentioning that along with impressing the Court and the jury with her vocabulary, Jodi also had to incorporate common terms, phrases, expressions that victims of domestic violence/suffers of PTSD would use to describe their experiences. No wonder her brain was scrambled.

Yet stigmatizing people with a different diagnosis than BPD is ok? Its all based on the incorrect premise that mental illness or personality disorders cause people to kill, which they do not. I wish we could get away from the fixation on irrelevant factors...
Honestly, I believe its human nature to want to find a cause for crimes like this. I think some believe that if they can understand the whys and hows it may one day prevent people they love from becoming victims too. I don't find it irrelevant at all.

When my ex was diagnosed I literally spent years researching and reading everything I could find about PD. I had to - there was great healing in validation, in simply knowing I wasn't crazy or imagining things. And doing so allowed me to see how I could alter my reactions/responses to protect myself and our children.

There are no absolutes with personality disorder, I totally agree. I've seen many examples of antisocials who aren't violent at all. However, I think its important to recognize the possibility to perpetrate violence or commit crime still exists, more so than a non-disordered, because of the disorder itself. Dr. Robert Hare estimates that up to 80% of incarcerated individuals could be diagnosed antisocial and of those 20% are psychopathic but that 20% is responsible for 50% of the most serious crimes.

(And I have to admit I see personality disorders, cluster B specifically, as something very different than other mental illnesses.)

Her driving all over the place just blows me away. It's like me saying to DH, I'm going to drive to visit Elle Elle on Saturday, then Sunday I'm stopping in at Paintr's place for awhile. (opposite ends of the country LOL)

That's thousands of miles and JA speaks like these people were just around the corner from her. :floorlaugh:

Morning all...

Just wondering....Someone on TV mentioned last night that if Jodi is convicted of murder one, the jury will be there another month for the penalty phase. If Jodi is convicted of any lesser charge, the jury gets to go home. The TV people were saying they were worried the Jury will convict of a lesser charge so they could go home sooner.

I personally think the jury will convict of murder one even if they have to stay another month. Partly cos i have faith they want to do the right thing and partly cos they may feel all those months were wasted if they don't convict the way they really feel.

There is so much evidence of premeditation, I really do think they'll give her murder one regardless of how much longer they have to stay.

Hopefully the fact that this jury has not been sequested thus far will be one thing that prevents them from having an issue with being sequestered during deliberations. Would they also be sequestered during the penalty phase? So I don't know what the TH's are talking about when they say the jury would want to "go home". They go home every day.

And there are certainly some on this jury who are not concerned about the amount of time they are spending on this trial as evidenced by the hundreds of questions that were asked during the defense CIC. Although you do have to wonder if the lack of questions now during rebuttal indicates some of this fatigue, or that most of them already have a pretty solid idea of how they're going to vote when deliberations finally come around.

Can someone answer a question for me concerning the gun shot? JA got up on the stand and showed how TA was coming at her like a linebacker, and she shot him in the head. I think Juan did that for a specific reason. Now here is my question about the gun, if JA was facing him, how did the bullet go in above his eyebrow downward into his cheek? If she was facing him how would that be possible? It wouldn't matter what way his head was turned, she would have to be above him to get the bullet to go in that way, or am I crazy?

I laughed at her "linebacker stance". This was supposed to be a man in a murderous rage, and she had a split-second to turn and point a gun at him. She was still able to remember that he got very low and then turned his head to the side, which only makes sense if you're trying to explain the position of the head wound. Why in the world would anyone who is trying to tackle someone look in another direction? For that matter, why would you tackle someone in a small area like a bathroom? You're likely to slam your own head against a shower, tile floor or toilet.

I meant in her journals only.

I'm old...and I use cursive for everything, even grocery lists. It's how we were taught to write. And I'm old enough to remember what writing a check is like! :floorlaugh: They don't teach cursive in a lot of schools now, which is a shame. So I see adults who print, which in my day was not something adults did. My how the times have changed. :scared:

Heh... Otoh, If I hear one more college-educated professional say "verbage" instead of "verbiage" (it's ver-bee-age), I'll scream

Or eXpecially. Last time I checked, there was no X.
