All jurors will hear everything, including closing. Then the 12 will be announced and they will go deliberate. In cases I have been in, the alternates are kept in a separate room in case something happens to one of the jurors during deliberations. It is really hard for the alternates because they don't get to discuss and let it out like the 12 do. They have the same thoughts and ideas but never got to discuss.

A jury foreman is picked by the jurors (12) and then they go back to deliberate.

Will they be sequestered if they don't come to a verdict next Friday?

It's awful. did anyone see where they had that judge from the Anna Nicole Smith custody case on there? Larry something? Anyway, he said the weirdest thing I have ever heard. He said something like "Jodi Arias's rear-end is going to look like a pin cushion after the other inmates get done molesting her." It was something really, really, freaky like that.

But I am curious as to how the 12 that deliberate are chosen from the 16 listening to this whole circus!!!

Someone said random draw...and I hope that is correct.

I don't like the idea of Nurmi being able to pick which of the 16 he has watched all this time

it is a random lottery style draw Nurmi has no control over the jury alternates

I have to agree, the judge is just doing her job. It's maddening of course that all this leeway (so it appears anyway) is given to the DT but I'm sure she's just trying to make sure that there truly has not been a reason for a mistrial and so that the DT can't claim later that JA didn't get a fair trial.

Okay, that being said...I think we've seen Jodi do her stare down of the Alexander family and jurors - I would hope the judge could or would tell her to behave. She needs to keep her stares to herself.

im playing some serious catch up here....had to do real life stuff. grrr.

anyways, want to correct something that was brought up in trial. this is just more for FYI for anyone who cares and in case some of yall out there do not know this....and good info maybe for future cases.....

i have analyzed a zillion (or so lol) photos.....

when nurmi was asking brown questions about the EXIF data, brown said that even though you change the file name on a photo, the EXIF data remains. TRUE. nurmi then asks him, so you can change the file name but you cant change anything else, right? brown responds. correct.

that is FALSE.

there is software available for free that allows you to go in and either erase all EXIF data completely or edit it how you want. you can remove the make/model, etc. i have this software.

not only that, if you have a photo and open it in say photoshop (which i work in almost daily), you can copy the image into a new file, save it and wala, the original EXIF info is gone.

now, obviously Jodi did not know this and it is moot point right now in this case, but the facts are: you can remove and edit EXIF data easily by various means. and anytime a photo is analyzed THAT element of fact must always be put into the equation.

im glad that nurmi did not know this, because it would just add confusion to the jury and more explanation from brown, etc.....

Could be.... could be... that one or more juror, who feels like we do, is just trying to tie up all the loose ends, and anticipating arguments from a wavering juror, and wants to have rebuttals.

Just got home from work and oh brother, did I miss a lot today! I have so much catching up to do. HLN has the jury on a recess, now in chambers. Is this real time now?? Sheesh, I have ton's of catch up as this sounds like an great day. I did peak in at work a few times and what I saw was more ribbon for that nice tight package Juan is wrapping!

Regarding the schedule the judge rolled out -- my guess is that she is allowing the surrebuttal. Juan is clearly close to done, and even if he had 5 more witnesses he could finish that in less than a day. Judge made the point that whatever is happening on Wednesday could take all day, and they would stay until it's done. My guess is she granted D's motion but said you have 1 day and that includes time for JM to cross. Then Th and Fr are closing/jury instructions. That is my guess.

But what allowances are being made for the "princess" who has to catch her bus at DROP DEAD 4:30""

Easy to conceal, yes. However, I would think a man would want something larger at home for protection. (even though I do not believe the gun was TA's)

I use a 25 auto when I conceal carry (yes I have a permit). But the pistol that stays on my side of the bed is a 380.

Seems to me if you do not need a permit to carry why have such a small gun????? Oh, yes, and no ammo??????
