Too too. Scott Peterson, ANS, CA.... now this. We have an issue.

:floorlaugh: First trial I watched on tv was OJ Simpson. I've watched the others too. There are many times that I swore I would not follow a trial again, but I backslid. I'm also keeping an eye on the Shaniya Davis trial right now. If it ever gets started. Jury seated and then court was ended and the accused sent for pysch evaluation. :banghead:

When Jodi claimed she jumped up to that very high far corner of the shelf to retrieve Travis gun, that was her total undoing.

First, the jury realizes Travis never had a gun because he would have had box of shells, a gun cleaning kit, and a holster (think jodi even claimed this too).

Secondly, every juror is looking at that tall shelf in the picture and realizes how hard it would be to get up there especially with someone chasing them and they realize she probably would not have had the time to make it up to that spot the way she claims.

Thirdly, the shelves were not disturbed and in a rush like she claimed something would likely have been moved.

Fourthly, the shelves may not have even supported her weight if she jumped up on them in a hurry.

Fifthly, and most importantly the coincidence of the .25 being stolen at Grams and that matched the shell casing on floor.

So in summary, it all comes down to this story is just not believable to common sense. This is critical because the jury realizes Jodi lied to them directly. This means she probably lied about other things too.

IMO, I feel this part of her testimony was a critical part in her undoing. She went way too far in her lies and this part is a perfect example.

ETA: Added the 5th most important reason above.

Jumping off your post

All in front of the jury...

The gun was in a box
Wait that would take too much time
The gun was unloaded
Er uh
Oops the gun was loaded
The gun was reached by jumping not touching or standing on anything
Oh snap cant reach
there was a holster to grab it
Wait that was dumb,
there was no holster
The free floating shelf was used
Oh shiz, it would have tipped forward but nothing was disturbed
Oh wait, My high IQ enabled me to tidy the shelf back up during my fog

Hope this helps a bit..she is a real piece of work. Trial is in July and will be online on Wild..

I am trying to see what I missed yesterday when husband broke his face (no, he is not abused) he fell from an attic. On his face. It's ok..I laughed a little too..

So glad hubby is ok. Gosh that had to be scary. My last O/T post-there is a Trial i will be following but it is about a year away. I will be attending that Trial in person. Thread already in place but no news right now due to a publication ban in my Country. I'm sure the radius where trial will be held will be fairly close to me. Noelle Paquette. Horrific case. May she rest in peace.

You can see how much the colour faded a month or so later in her mug shot. Unless she tried to lighten it up a bit again after the murder. Although I am surprised that the June 4th picture of her in Travis' bedroom looked like her hair was still that lighter shade of auburn. Perhaps that's because the photos were so hard to retrieve and the colour could be off in them.

MOO

I've been looking at those pics on the camera and thinking the same thing as you. The hair color is lighter than the one on the helio phone. Could those pics of the sex been manipulated from another time?

OMG! Are you guys watching HLN right now? LMAO! I am sure you all heard it last night, this whole Psycho reference and her reported pregnancy...and that's why there was SO MUCH activity last night, right?

I don't watch the trial coverage after watching all day. I mean, I saw it with my own eyes - what more could they tell me? Plus, they drive me nuts with their sensationalism.

So...what y'all think? Jodi was pregnant or not? Did she or did she not say they never had vaginal sex? If she said it, I never believed that...but I think I read that somewhere?

I don't know if Jodi was pregnant. If she claimed she was to Travis, it would put context to his infamous text. Unless theres proof of pregnancy even being mentioned to Travis, I don't really trust HLN anymore with content and I certainly wouldn't trust Jodi. Things have calmed down quite a bit on rebuttal and they seem to be grasping to rehash interest. However, a fake pregnancy scheme to keep Travis wouldn't be outside of what one would expect from a Borderline, so.. I'm assuming the only person who would know that is no longer with us..

BBM~ As I don't agree either that Jodi was pregnant, she probably took a HPT if she thought she was.

Jodi doesn't seem to go to Dr.'s... abuse from Travis, busted ring finger = No Dr for Jodi.

You are right, but without some kind of proof I doubt this tale will be believed. Maybe a receipt for that HPT? She does tend to keep receipts she thinks will help her stories.:snooty:

Is JA allowed to write and or publish a book with her story after all this, or can the family ask that it be order that she can't profit from this murder ????

Doesn't that depend on the verdict? Son of Sam law.

HLN says the medical examiner is on the stand today.

Good morning everyone.
Sorry I am late. I am ready to rock and roll!

Is anyone else concerned about JM after this trial?

The manipulative, lying, psychopath JA has friends that she probably has lots of stuff on with which to blackmail them. Not only that, there's that other one who is a convicted felon -for arson!

Next door in Texas 2 prosecutors and one of their wives were recently killed.:scared:

Gooooood morning peeps!!

You know how we all made fun of Baez and his white boards during the closing arguments in the CA trial? Hate to say it, but I hope Juan does *something* visual to help the jurors remember everything and connect the dots. That last jury experience haunts me, and I want to make sure the understand everything Juan wants them to. There are so many tiny things to keep track of, and I know some of us have even been confused at times. I know Juan will tie everything up, I just hope he does it in a way that is super clear to all the jurors.

Oh I remember how much fun that trial was and especially verdict day. We were on THM ventrillo! You could hear the sleuthers voices ! It was hilarious.
Anyone. That watched that trial will never forget the grief counselor! She was a riot than comes the coroner with his skull! Set it on the podium next to him. Wow what characters there were in that trial.

I think she's good @ denial. As soon as she starts getting concerned off to color she goes. Tries to tighten up like a clam and shut it all out.

I agree. She has probably erased holes into the paper and removed the finish from the desktop with her incessant rubbings. Color, color, color, erase, color, erase.. cope cope cope. Denial denial denial.

Is the manslaughter charge included for sure???

  • #259
BetteDavisEyes, do we have confirmation that the Judge has allowed instructions for the jury on lesser charges the DT asked for? TIA

I thought that I'd heard or read that manslaughter would be included among the charges. My apologies if this is not the case. :blushing: Hopefully, someone here knows for sure.
