Just thinking back to when the iPad started talking and the court laughed. Nel said 'I'm so sorry, My Lady, it was a recording of an argument unrelated to the case.'

Maybe my mind is becoming suspicious here, but is it possible that this move wasn't entirely an accident, but a way for Nel to indicate to Roux that there is a recording of an argument on the iPad?

There was a huddle between OP and his defense team shortly after this.

As the machine started talking, Nel could have simply said 'oops, that shouldn't have happened'.

even in Australia we don't pee FACING THE DOOR..

In Germany in a rented apartment it could be facing the door: I know that from the previous and the currently home/toilet. :o

I'm confused regarding the original witness list as 107 people were listed. It seems as though Nel only needs a handful more. Surely the remainder can't all be defence witnesses?

That list was of potential prosecution witnesses, and was drawn up last year. There would never have been any intention of calling all of them. In the early stages they wouldn't necessarily know whom they would need to call, or who would be the best witnesses in various matters. So for instance you have several names from SAPS, Netcare etc. They don't need to call them all.

Nel must be pretty sure he has the case stitched up. If not he could have used many of the witnesses still left on the list. I had hoped we would hear from the immediate neighbours (the ones whose lights were on). I suppose we still might. All along I have felt Nel will end with a hugely important witness.

cars and 🤬🤬🤬🤬... significant obviously otherwise this wouldn't have been presented as evidence by the prosecution, just how is it significant though i wonder??
What can be inferred by op looking at these websites that add weight to the prosecutions case i wonder??

I should have been more interested in whether Reeva wanted to call for help or something in this direction.

Thanks for that - I wasn't aware it was a potential list.

I wonder why the security guards didn't mention that other, Wednesday, call out in their evidence?

Me too!!
I did wait for that through questioning and I'm disappointed now. Poor SamT has to bear the whole burden and the neighbours hadn't to continue making themselves unpopular.

Ok, so if that's pretty much the State's case other than a few loose ends they want to pull together this weekend ...I'm not impressed that they have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that this was premeditated murder. And they really did nothing to address whether Oscar reasonably feared imminent harm - did they?

Proof of premeditated murder:

  • Four witnesses hearing RS screaming before gunshots.
  • OP did not call ambulance or police.
  • Security guard called OP and testified OP said everything is fine.
  • OP affidavit shows claim he was walked from exit door of bedroom, got gun, down hallway, towards alleged danger, shot 4 times.

OP's allegation he feared imminent harm requires OP to prove that, not for the state to disprove it.

It would be like James Holmes claiming as a defense in the Colorado movie shootings that he was working for the CIA and part of the MK Ultra project and then expecting the state be required to prove he wasn't. That's obviously not how criminal trials work.

The state has presented a prima facie case. OP killed RS. Witnesses confirmed what OP admitted. Four witnesses testified to hearing RS scream immediately before hearing gunshots. All evidence affirmed this.

What's not reasonable is OP's explanations:
  • It's not reasonable to believe all four witnesses misheard the exact same thing, and that what they heard was OP replicating the sounds of the murder he just committed.
  • It's not reasonable to be sharing a bedroom with somebody, hear somebody in the toilet, and NOT think it might be the person you're sharing the room with until after shooting four times into the toilet.

The burden of proof is now on OP to explain how his admitted killing of RS actually is NOT a violation of SA criminal code. This is why OP, like Jodi Arias did, must testify. He has no choice.

I think you may be right. I was expecting the blood spatter testimony to be one of the longest parts of the trial but it was whizzed through. Something tells me there's a big game-changer coming soon.

Any real intruder would have hidden behind the wall on the right side, or he would have jumped out of the toilet window.

You've got a good point. It just made me realize that OP was not hiding behind a door jam or anything to protect himself from return gunfire. Another thing that doesn't make sense if OP really thought it was an intruder and his life in danger.

Funny how (assuming premed)...or...killed her during a row.....he has incorporated the things neighbors had heard....."get out of my house".....directed at Reeva....but explained away by the intruder story. Hence the jeans flung out the window.

Mocking her help help help cries as his own well intentioned pleas for helping his beloved Reeva

fingers down her throat to me was a silencing tactic....not CPRish

etc etc

Hi all! I just read this post and am wondering what the details are about jeans thrown out of the window. Would someone please give me the details?

At some point it was claimed, that there was a loud argument just after the arrival of both OP and Reeva, lasted 1 hour.
Never heard that. Do you have a source/link?

My search was successful:

The neighbours have already told the police about the shouting and screaming they heard from the Pistorius home on Wednesday, and in the early hours of Thursday.

At least one set of neighbours has told the police about other days and nights when they heard commotion coming from the athlete’s home.

Security guards were called to the house on Wednesday evening to tell the occupant that the noise was disturbing neighbours.

That's rumor-mongering by the MSM from over a year ago. Lots of false stuff was similarly reported last year (head injuries to RS from the cricket bat for example). Also there's nothing there about "one hour after they arrived" - the latter would imply they were loudly arguing at 7:30 pm or something.

Thank you. The link goes to a homepage though. If you can tell me how to search for it I could do that instead. It would be cool to see that, first I've heard of it!
