She has definitely been following this case.

Since she and her husband actually witnessed a murder from their own home, and the killer is admittedly Oscar Pistorius, and her husband was the first medical professional to try to help the victim, then I would find it odd if they did not follow the trial! Wouldn't you if you were her?

Actually, it was when she was up getting a drink that she heard the first volley of sounds.

Yes, she was getting up to go for a drink when she looked at the clock but that is the whole point of the use of, she was getting up, i.e. she hadn't yet got up and that is when she heard the "shots" i.e. before she had gotten up.

AS: After the initial shots I heard a female screaming. Later on the second balcony I heard a male screaming as well.

The defense really needs to give this witness up already. She gets to say again she is absolutely certain she heard a woman and counters his 'crying' to clarify she was screaming.

Call me wonky if you will - but this isn't an advocate doing the best for his/her client. This is simply allowing damaging testimony to become cast in memory like stone. MOO

A local channel (North Carolina) WFMY CH.2 News just reported that OP will be selling his house due to mounting legal fees!! Also, Nels is known for adding a last minute surprise witness----experts are speculating that it will be OP's daddy(?) since he hasn't been present in courtroom. This according to WFMY- CH 2 News.

Again that's not how read it. I thought it said she was getting a drink not getting up to get a drink. That's my bad.

I am finding this all very boring - Oldwage is as bad as Roux, if not worse. He is like a dog with a bone and he doesn't seem to hear the witnesses answers correctly. It is about time these oldies gave up and made way for some bright, lucid lawyers, who can think on their feet.

I don't know about "religiously" because not all people are followers of this kind of thing, however in countries where they allow ongoing reports of cases by the press, in high profile cases as this it is very difficult to isolate witnesses from such reports. That is why in the UK we have total press blackout until the trial begins. During the trial official court reporters are permitted to publish snippets agreed by Judge of what goes on during each day, and then after the trial we get all the details. The system works for us.

I was answering what I would do if I were a witness to a murder. I would follow the case religiously, until I was subpoenad, of course. I know I would.

OW has asked her outright if she would sign a document knowing it was not correct. She admits she did. One aspect of her statement was not correct - seeing person walking in the bathroom, I think.
