Why isn't Nel objecting with saying "asked and answered" to half of this cross?

ITA. Why is he allowed to keep asking the same questions over & over again??

this witness, is saying what her husband told her. .. he told her he didn't get thru. .

( johan rang, it wasn't answered) he rings again its answered ) .

she says, she can dispute it, because he said he didn't get thru . which is why he rang again. .

and this was never discussed?? no. it wasn't important.

yur husband agreed with you. re 3 shots?? I don't know if he ever did agree with me . he told me to get away from the window.

I have not heard my husbands evidence. I recall exactly what I said. ...

my husband agreed he heard the shots. . we agreed on the shots.

Ok, let me get this straight: he is saying she made a mistake even though she is only relaying what her husband told her and not making the statement herself? Do they not have hearsay in SA?

  • #366
gee.. oldy has had a few yellow cards place on his docket. he will have to avoid anymore. ..

more about the incident of the argument on the front lawn of a neighnor. MUCH different sounds the feb 14 was screaming, terrified, anguish. long.

the nieghors barney on the front lawn was raised voices.

I disagree, we don't know the call did go through as far as I recall. Roux tried that one on Mr Stipp and it was never clarified and as Stipp said, why would he call twice if he got through the first time. We haven't seen the phone records and maybe SA phone records are not too good, or maybe Stipp thought he called the correct number and called another, who knows without the records. Baba also had and encounter with Roux about the order of phone calls. It seems to me that the defence puts out a lot of "facts" that are not necessarily so.

OW actually had a point before with aspects of correction of statements with detectives, but he is going nowhere fast with this line, trying to confuse witness relating what her husband told her to deliberate falsehood.

OW just revealed the screaming test was a man and a woman. AS says she just heard a man, 'It sounded like a male doing both in different pitches.....there was very little emotion in the March screams, they were completely different.'

OT breaking news: Australia has spotted two objects in the ocean and are going to get them. It could be the Malaysia wreckage.

How gutted was Oldwadge that Mrs Stipp recognised it was a male screaming in different tones in there test's, LOL>

  • #371
the four of you , stipp, burger, Johnson and mrs van der mewre, were in a room?? at some time??

oldy wants a few minute adjournment.

Was this a neighbour row or Roux's famous screaming test?

In the UK you are advised to visit the court before testifying in a case to get your bearings and so you won't be so nervous on the day. Also witnesses sit in the same room while waiting to give testimony.

  • #374
ho.. the screaming test. !!..

* helpless.

  • #375
OW wants a five min adjournment to confer with his client.

  • #376
They clearly have a checklist of common objections to raise...

Here we are once again with giving the witnesses a hard time about being in the witness room. If the court tells them to go in the witness room, what the h#ll do you want them to do??... Run the other way and say no I can't go in there.

Ok, I'm out for the night. Desperately need sleep and a sanity check. Will tune in tomorrow morn for the rest.

Good night and good luck! :)

My prime minister is determined to beat the Chinese to this wreckage. so determined he is willing to blow up the Chinese navy, he wants to be famous.

don't count on it, really.

Bring back roux, please please please :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Can't stand much more of this Oldwadge.

I'd prefer to hear Nel right now... and drives me nuts. In fact right now I am praying for a tea break :floorlaugh:

Oh for heaven's sake! This stupid 'test' that was carried out needs to be thrown out immediately. Unless it was Reeva's and Oscar's voices then it could have been easy for the defence to 'test' with people who've got differently pitched voices. Kathleen Turner has a deep pitched voice and David Beckham a high pitched one so if I were trying to prove that it was a man screaming, I'd hire a Beckham soundalike for this stupid test.
