Nel always leaves a confusing mess... it all makes sense when Roux lays it out and prunes away some of the nonsense....

Though I am not saying that Roux does not do that frustratingly slowly :floorlaugh:

If you think that Roux makes sense then I put it to you, you have been enjoying some of that herbal refreshment on Tropika Island for too long

I don't think he was surfing. He was communicating with someone via the internet I think. Shame they didn't give more details about these connections.

Unless he was looking for good lawyers...

I actually made it to court in time this morning. I must say this witness knew what he was doing. I'll make mention of one thing since I've read it. OP's brother is a lawyer.

Subject to verification

"Unfortunate event"????? Nice, Roux

  • #85
Roux: Some GPRS communications from the deceased, early in the morning, past the hour of the unfortunate incident. How do you explain that?

11.3 hour connection.

FM: One of the applications was still open and connected. User didn't end the connection.

Roux: And it could be emails coming in etc....

  • #86
Moller refers to the previous day's connection for 11 hours - it could be some app which is left open. BB

  • #87
Moller: accepts that such connectivity is also caused by email connections - it does not mean human interaction. BB

  • #88
From billing records you can't specify human interaction. Roux points out the same could apply to OP's phone.

It can be anything, updates etc.

this line of questioning illustrates that the internet connection on Oscar’s phone was not necessarily him using the device.

  • #90
Roux: Security call logs.

Now Judge is saying her docs differ from Roux's. Roux got the exhibit numbers wrong I think.

Judge: Can you find it for me? (whispering).

Why would oscar firing the shots and then surfing the internet not be good for the prosecution?.

I think I may have jumped the gun about which it could be bad for but sounds weird calling someone just 1/2 mins after either shots-Pros or bats-Def. Just can't imagine someone making a call so quick after shooting someone or after breaking open the door and seeing their girl ripped to pieces on the floor... so weird !

Roux: This reflects incoming calls to securoty landlines at silverwoods.

FM: Correct

Roux: Dr Stipp's call. What was duration

FM:
03.15.51. For 16 secs

Baba??
03.16.30
03.16.40 ??
03.27 is time of unanswered call.

OP's early morning calls Feb 14th.

OP called security at 03.21.33

FM explaining how he verified that call

Security called back
03.22.05

"First call was made by OP. It was answered. Then security called him back. Lasted 12 secs.

The expert doesn't have an iphone, Lol.

The very short call FM: "My opinion is it wasn't a deliberate call. Accidental."

  • #95
Barry Bateman says that Mark Batchelor is in court. He's the guy that OP supposedly threatened with leg breaking while he was dating Samantha.

  • #96
Roux: Morning of 14th, a call made by OP to Johan Stander? A call 03.20.05 from OP? 03.21.33 to security? Then accidental call? 03.20.25 incoming from security?

FM: Correct.

I thought Baba testified he called OP first?
According to this testimony now OP called them first. Right?

Nothing further! Didn't think I'd ever agree that the state hasn't proved it's case but unless the last witness is really something special, then I'd have to agree the state hasn't proved it's case.
Personally, I disagree. I think the State proved it's case the first day of trial and have shored it up since.

The State doesn't have to prove Oscar intended to kill Reeva. It simply has to prove that Oscar intended to kill whomever was behind that door. The amount of shots, the ammunition used, and the screams prove that BARD to me.

Culpable homicide was already almost a certainty for me based on OP's statement alone - before any testimony. (A few legal experts have commented he will have a mountain to climb in order to avoid a conviction for CH just because of that statement).

But I honestly believed Casey and OJ would both be found guilty too. ;)

FM explains how he can't verify certain people made certain calls.

Now onto Reeva/OP. Calls/msgs between them.

Roux wants to know "What was your approach in determining relevance?"

FM: 'Looking through thousands of msgs, you can immediately spot msgs that stand out from normal communications.

Roux points out that of over 1,000 msgs, only 4 were fights.

Yes, both state and pros seem to be saying OP called first.
