OP has a gorgeous model, one that he obviously has been manipulating and trying to control since the day he met her, and yet he tells her that she does not have to be his angel, his love; and he tells her that twice in just the brief exchanges that you posted. That IMO is very strange! Would love to get the opinion of a psychologist or a psychiatrist on this! Just seems backwards and there is a reason he is doing it.

No, he doesn't say 'you don't have to be my angel' .. he says 'you don't have to my angel' ( there is no 'be' in it).

Viper, have you had your coffee today - or have you already started on the beer lol?

OP: Thank you so much my Angel. x You don't have to my angel. Stay tonight, if you like.

It doesn't say you don't have to be my angel.

I see that. It does not change the fact that it looks to be a manipulation tool that he used on Reeva. When in public Reeva has to do things and behave exactly the way OP wants. When she is offering to be with him he says "you don't have to" instead of welcoming her and expressing happiness with her offer. Weird.

This line of the message to Reeva just caught me out...

OP: I'm just finishing off at Ryan

I had a quick look to see who Ryan was, and the only connection I found was Ryan Gosling, who is rumored to be playing OP in a Hollywood biopic about the shooting.

As this message was before Reeva was killed this would have been a real find. :what:

*disclaimer: please don't read anything into this, it would be a leap too far.

I agree you could read it like that if you choose, but then he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
I'd much rather see that than a threat.

It is strange, isn't it?

You'll all probably find this stranger: My gut feeling for some time now is that the relationship was more important to RS than it was to OP. My gut instinct says he would have been off and running as soon as somebody came along that was gorgeous but not a gum chewer, and spoke the way he thinks a girl dating him should.

And I mean no disrepect to RS.

Has everyone reviewed the images at this site:

http://juror13lw.wordpress.com/

The most disturbing image is the toilet bowl full of Reeva's blood. This woman died a horrific and violent death. OP does not deserve a sliver of pity for the innocent life that he took. And he is before the appropriate judge, a former woman's rights advocate known for her harsh sentences handed down to perpetrators of violence against women, 258 years to a rapist!

In case people did not know, that blog belongs to our WS poster lisasalinger, she is "Juror13."

Maybe the broken window was from a previous incident of someone trying to break in .. seriously though, does anyone know if there is a photo available for that .. I've looked on Juror #13's blog, and google images, and can't find anything. I'm interested to know whether it is more of a crack which wouldn't necessarily splinter, than a shatter where there probably would be pieces of glass on the ground.

Hi Jay-Jay... it's a good size piece of glass (a hole) that is missing. The red circle indicates the spot. It's a little hard to see in these photos because it's clear glass.

Those lower windows would have been a much easier access point for an intruder. It would make no sense whatsoever for them to climb up the side of the house to break in.

Yes, I would say that (now I understand it :-P ), that is just part of normal conversation .. I think we could start reading a bit too much into some of these things he has said, if we're not careful .. best to stick to the bits that are actually quite concerning (there are enough of them!). I can't remember, but I think I noticed someone picking up on OP supposedly having shouted 'get out of MY house' and made comment about that .. and I'm not sure if they meant he should've been saying something else, like 'get out of OUR house' .. I don't read anything into the fact he said 'MY' .. afterall, it was his house, and if he did actually have an intruder in the house it would just flow better to shout out 'MY' instead of 'OUR' house. Again, I think there can be a danger of reading too much into things like that (and again, I think we have enough other stuff where what has been said really is concerning).

Ah, thanks very much for that, lisa :thumb:

Yes, I keep wondering about that .. what does he mean? You don't have to 'what' (my angel)?

I think he means console him. In her outgoing message she says it's hard to console him because it's a crappy thing and he's a nice guy... etc etc

I think he was replying saying thanks but you don't have to.

Hmm. I'd always assumed it was a crack in the glass, which doesn't necessarily require immediate repair, but if it's a hole, I wouldn't expect it to have been there very long.

I wonder if he was telling her to get out of his house and then threw her clothes out before shooting. Perhaps he was angry

Ty for sharing!

What's up with all of the "you don't have to be my angel" stuff?

I think he is only saying to Reeva that she doesn't have to go home. It follows her comment that she was going home at 6pm.

I don't think anyone actually heard him shouting that .. that bit is what OP put in his affidavit and which we only have his word for him actually having shouted it out

I don't really know where to start quoting things from this link that I just received from a friend, but it has the comments from Reeva's "Joburg Dad" about the relationship of OP and Reeva; I had read it last year but maybe some folks did not see it. So I'm just posting it without my opinion(s):

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...as-told-to-back-off-from-Reeva-Steenkamp.html

Thanks for this, Viper. Very interesting. With everything I've heard and considered thus far, my opinion and speculation only (as of right now) is that OP was a little obsessive with Reeva and wanted her to do and be everything he needed.

It was so interesting to me to dig in to those text messages from Feb 13 and see that she expressed to him a few times that she was going home and yet somehow, someway he got her to turn around and come back.

She had left his house as of 5:45pm but then turned around. I sure would love to know why. Is it really because she was too tired or did he convince her?
