Roux is painting a picture of a person who is out of the norm and out of the experience of probably everyone in that courtroom.

"M'lady you cannot measure this man by the expected norms."

O: Devastating time for me...I'd set goals for myself. After 2008 I started working harder and harder.

Then lists achievements. We need a sport commentator here.....

I really wanted to know how many rosettes and gold stars he got at school. Can't believe he missed those out.

O: My mother had a pistol. She would often call police at night. We were broken into a couple of times but mostly it was her imagination. She'd call us to sleep with her...she kept her firearm in a padded bag under her pillow.

Aha. So his mum made sure her loved ones were safe. Pity he didn't follow her example.

Are they gonna get to the mean spirited remarks to the Brazilian athlete?

On to legs now. The blades.

And Roux wants to take us through his career 'when you really started to excell'.

For heaven's sake. Not typing this. It's all there on OP's website anyway.

I'm waiting for the part re "when you really started to become terrified of mythical intruders". It doesn't sound like it began in childhood, as I expected them to claim. Even his school days sound sunny, not a horror story of constant bullying.

Haha. You should get a job as a court stenographer lol

Yep Lisa, it certainly helps his defense to get the apology and background stuff out first, it does also have the advantage for us that it helps him to relax more before proper questioning.
That way he'll be able to enunciate better without the Judge interrupting all the time.

...back to being objective

I think it will give him a chance to settle down to being in the witness box.

Sadly it seems as this goes on and on he has forgotten why he is here.

However, as soon as Nel gets to the nitty gritty I would expect OP to revert.

 During the Jodi Arias trial we had to listen for days about her life leading up to the murder.

He might as well include the stories of himself shooting in the restaurant, speeding, dating/cheating on gfs and his love of guns as part of this life story...

Enough of OP, now let's get to REEVA

  • #332
This is just a sickening farce. I honestly think he'll get away with murder solely because of who he is.

  • #333
During these 10 minutes while he has listed all of his wounds from running, I wish they would paste a picture of Reeva's wounds in the background...

  • #334
WOW he doesn't have balance without his prosthetics but he can shoot a high power 9mm pistol without any trouble!!!

  • #335
OP got lots of skin irritations. He ran with bloodied bandages that would stick and pull skin off when removed. Several times he's been hospitalized after long plane trips. Back of leg has high back that can cause blood clots. Cuts of circulation when bent at acute angle.

O: I can't balance standing still on my stumps. I don't have very good balance. Don't have ankle joint so no articulation there.....operation when I was young they put my heel pad on my stump base and it's rotated on the left as bone's grown. I've spoken to my surgeon about moving it back so I can walk on that. I can't place weight on my left leg......I have to move around....my dog could knock me over on my stumps.

Maybe this will open the door for Nel to bring some of those stories in....

  • #337
Oh my goodness how long will this last, now he is boasting about his charity work. I'm sure Nel is chomping at the bit !!

  • #338
So I put to you why rush up to confront a burglar instead of waking Reeva and while you put on your legs get her to press panic button and call police while aiming the gun at the passage... or better still, get Reeva, gun and your legs and get at least past the bedroom door so you there put on your legs and wait in ambush of any intruder instead of rushing into what could have been your ambush by an intruder ?

  • #339
OMG 'Charitable Work' now .. this is ridiculous .. just saw a shot of Reeva's mother and she is looking very tense, she normally looks serious but she quite definitely looks annoyed by all this.

Managed to get a Nelson Mandela reference in too. He's sure ticking all the boxes!
