Judge is being protective again, possibly trying to head off another crying jag...

Nel's asking why Roux said double taps to Cpt M when it wasn't accurate.

O: I can't say why he did, but I corrected him at the break.

Judge interjects, says N can't keep on asking question O has answered. N asks permission for one more

And wher's my feed gone?

OP claims he is fighting for his life, but for two days he is committing perjury with every sentence he utters on the stand. In the process he has ruined his relationship with his defense team irrevocably by blaming them and everyone else for all the inconsistencies in his testimony so far. More to follow.

I agree with My Lady for admonishing Nel and those in the gallery for laughing, but I can also understand why laughter erupted.

OP claims that someone told him that ST & DF had been in communication, but when asked who told him that, he falls back to the all too often trotted out excuse "I can't remember".

Yes, it's not laughter of entertainment, is it .. it's laughter of incredulousness (same as on here).

Ha! Now it went off with Nel asking how O could remember exactly how he fired, and when it came back, all I heard was O saying "I don't remember'!

  • #466
I call BS. OP yesterday claimed that he didn't remember firing his gun through the toilet door. Yet, today, he claims to remember firing 4 shots in quick succession.

But it seems like the Judge is reignng in Nel much sooner than she did with Roux.
Think of Dr Burger.

On the ammo charge, I do suspect that OP bought the ammo with the intention of getting the relevant firearm.
It's one of those things whereby an extra charge arises from an unrelated incident, the same as the Tasha's and sunroof incidents.

the judge is more active in pulling up nel, than roux.

interesting that she is saying 'he has answered the question'

yet when he continually, continually, continually doesn't answer questions, she says nothing.

I think this is important -
Rebecca Davis@becsplanb@ApocalypseMM @tompeck I literally do not know a single person, in a wide and varied social scene, who has a gun.

-------
This trial, I believe, has a lot of people thinking gun ownership is really common in SA and it doesn't appear to be. 12 guns per 100 residents as opposed to the American 89 in 100. (England and Wales is 6 in 100, for comparison, according to 2007 statistics.)

I meant is he going to finish his cross examination today?

I thought he'd have Oscar up there for at least a week or slightly more.

  • #472
Oh my - yesterday OP claimed he fired accidentally.

Today: he remembers pulling the trigger 4 times.

I knew we'd hear yet another version today.

N: Before I knew it, I had fired four shots at the door, my ears were ringing. Is that a reconstruction?

O:...do I remember firing four shots, no I don't....I rember firing at the door. I never said I don't remember firing at the door.

I really don't know what I'm hearing. Can't understand if O's saying he does or doesn't?

Confirmation that her phone was indeed with her in the toilet at 2 am  also. I would assume that there was no call out or texting out or we would have heard such in the trial.

It does make me wonder if there was an incoming text that she perhaps wanted to privately read without Oscar seeing it? I'm trying to think of reasons she would have the phone in the toilet other than the one you mentioned. Any other thoughts?

It could be Reeva took her iphone to the loo at 3am to read/a text in secret (not very nice thing to do in a relationship imo), but more likely, imo, is she took it as a torch to not have to bother putting on lights to passage and bathroom and/or because the toilet light was as is claimed, broken. Problem is I can only find 2 possibilities:

1. After speaking affectionately to OP Reeva had gone to the toilet without saying anything and without OP noticing, either taking her iphone to use as a torch or to read a text in secret, but didn't immediately call the police when OP yelled for her to do so from the passage, and even though OP, according to his testimony, waited at the end of the passage near the bathroom shouting out to Reeva and the intruder/s (and/or listening out for them) which should have given Reeva time to phone or at very least to answer him back.

2. The very moment OP whispered to Reeva to "get down and call the police" without OP noticing and without Reeva saying a word to OP or him noticing, she immediately got up, grabbed her phone and ran to the toilet in the few seconds it took OP to lean down and get his gun before going down the passage towards the bathroom, but that despite taking her phone with her she did not call the police as OP had asked, nor did she call out to OP even though she must have heard him coming down the passage getting closer and calling for her to do so.

Maybe I am missing something, but neither makes any sense to me at all so maybe those who believe the prosecution was wrong to bring this case and/or for the murder charge have already a reasonable explanation for this because I haven't been able to think of one so far.

O: I did not fire deliberately.

  • #476
Clarification: I never meant to pull the trigger 4 (four) times !!!

How the hell is pulling the trigger 4 times an accident or unintentional?

I agree, she seems to be quite generous with OP

N: I never meant to pull the trigger?

O: That's correct Milady.
