Creating time is involved.

Ugh. Oscar quit arguing (in that whiny voice)

 • #103
I have not certified you yet on Oscar-speak. :)

LED-Blue is an adanced topic. On is off and off is on in Oscar-speak.
Very deep!

It's astonishing, isn't it ..

I hate it because I feel like there's some big, obvious something and I'm the only one not getting it. Alone in the dark. lol

I've wracked my brain. I can see the pieces of the puzzle but they're not even close to fitting together.

I'm not even seeing this LED stuff as a piece of the puzzle :(

N: Did you try and switch that off (other lights)?

O: I don't remember..even if I did, I don't think the light would have gone on, it's there to indicate the power source is on...

N: You have to create time. On your version, you have to build in a time gap for Reeva to get to the bathroom...

O: If I wanted to create time...Samantha Taylor said it takes four mins for me to get my legs on...it's got nothing to do with time...

OP sounds as though he is about to break down, and not in the usual emotional way either....

He wouldn't be sitting in the courtroom if he were possibly going to be a witness.

Thanks for educating me, because I really don't know much about trials. :)

So is the multiplug, and there are no ipads or cases. I don't know how they can even refer to these photos when things are obviously moved around

According to Van Staden's testimony, photo album #1 depicts the scene exactly as it was found.

The other albums contain photos of items that may have been moved for investigation purposes, but they testified that it was noted where the items were moved to. The photos they are using this morning are not necessarily from photo album #1.

Ugh. I hate electronic equipment. Nel is taking OP through all equipment in his room with lights on. Now looking for pic of TV...

N: Milady, I'll just take a minute. I'm sure I made a note...

They can't find photo again...

 • #109
N: I apologise Milady, we will get there. We'll take half a minute.

Nel is giving OP a nice breathing space here.

 • #110
Nel: Why didn't you just switch it (the amp) off?

OP: I don't know if the light goes off <<-- not verbatim .. he doesn't know that a light goes off when a piece of electrical equipment is switched off???

That's not an unreasonable thing to say. On my cable/dvr box, when you turn the power button off, there is still an LED light that stays on as long as it is plugged in

 • #111
Why don't they just bring the equipment in and show the court when and what lights stay on and what color. Seems like it would save time

 • #112
OP sees the pic of red light on his TV: 'It's not very bright. It didn't bother me'.

Anyone think many women, or men for that matter, take their jeans or trousers off so they end up inside out ? Not saying you can't but it's much more difficult imo that way and then if you are going to use them again you have to turn them back the right way.

Right?.....now it has me wondering if OP was be a little too assertive that night and took her jeans off...which escalated to the end.

According to Van Staden's testimony, photo album #1 depicts the scene exactly as it was found.

The other albums contain photos of items that may have been moved for investigation purposes, but they testified that it was noted where the items were moved to. The photos they are using this morning are not necessarily from photo album #1.

We have seen two different photos of the fan now and they both have been presented as being the initial crime scene photos, but in fact there are huge differences in the two photos - no multiplug, no ipad or ipad case, unplugged fan.

Van Staden cannot actually know whether the first photographs he took were actually depicting the crime scene as it was immediately after the incident - because both Van Rensburg and Botha had been through the crime scene already, and Col Motha was apparently upstairs mucking about while Van Staden was photographing the crime scene.

They add to ambience of the room regardless of how individually bright each one is.

Now onto photo 68 of jeans on top of duvet (or not, as Roux disputed they were Friday)

Zooming in on blood splatter corner of duvet, down towards the denim, and next to the carpet beside the jeans. And showing a blood hair smear near the watch.

Nel says that was OP carrying Reeva. OP says No.

Nel asks Pistorius why this blue light bothered him when (we pull into a close up of the picture and the stereo display is filled with all the other lit area’s of numbers and information). There is glow from the other ambient display full of some lights right next to the bothersome blue LED switch light.

Pistorius can’t seem remember if it has bothered it before enough that he would have previously just switched off or covered the LED. He can’t seem remember how the color switch works, if it’s red when it’s off or just off. Nel thinks it means the amplifier is still on.

For a guy who remembers minutiae on his alarm buttons, and panels and where the sensors are, it seems a bit odd he doesn’t know exactly how the on/off light switch works in this minute. Or why he didn’t cover it before. Or why it bothered him so much that night.

Nel says he’s trying to buy time in his version, that’s why he invented the LED jean moment.

Pistorius says the State has done this before too, tailoring evidence to find more time. And he adds that lying (blame game!) Samantha Taylor also said it took 4minutes to put on his legs, when the court could tell from the demo, it takes him only a few seconds to put them on.

OP's making a better point than Nel at this point about the blood spatter.

 • #119
Roux whispering is now much louder.

 • #120
So Nel is saying the duvet was on the floor as OP carried Reeva past, whereas OP said it was on the bed then, and it was police who moved it.
