Maybe that's exactly where Nel's going. If he had his legs on, he wasn't in bed so that gives credence to Nel's theory.

I have kind of always suspected that for many reasons one of them being the clothes Reeva was wearing .
If they hadn't gone to bed I would expect him to still be wearing his legs the whole time .
I think he would feel more of a man with them on JMO

Its back on and Nel is asking if he shouted those words to Reeva

  • #283
N: you just told us what you shouted and then you got emotional? Why did you get emotional then?

And OP says because it was traumatic and N counters : 'Isn't that what you shouted at Reeva (Get out of my house)?

I put it to you that OP is fighting for his life.

Moo

I think it has been a real mistake for the DT and OP to have kept using this phrase .. Roux started with it right at the beginning of the trial, and OP has continued to use it .. it is basically 'code speak' for 'I will do anything to risk spending what will seem like an enternity in prison, and I am prepared to lie in order to do so'. Very, very, poor judgement on their part to have introduced this phrase .. especially when he is not actually fighting for his 'life' like Reeva was, and especially when he has said it in front of her mother, her family and her friends.

In a new relationship that's quite probable. After a few years though... my hb staggers around without a shirt all the time now without a prosthetic, his arm got ripped off at the shoulder when he had his accident, and it's not a pretty sight(huge knot of nerves and scar tissue with a big cavity in the centre). I have to remind him to at least wear a t-shirt when he's out "gardening"(ripping out my flowers) so he doesn't scare the new little schoolkids that have to walk past our house.
That is sad for your hubby

oh, we are changing that he screamed first to call the police. And why does he keep making reference to PLURAL folks in the toilet every time? Why would someone think more than ONE intruder?

  • #288
N: Before tea you said 'I remember what I shouted'. Tell us what you shouted...'Get the F out of my house, get the F out of my house'?

O: Reeva call the police and then I shouted for the intruders to get out of my house..

N: You've just spoken to her-whispered to her. Why would you scream at her now?

O: ...I was in close proximity to the intruders...they would have known I was there by then...I screamed for Reeva to call the police...

N says OP's version does not make sense; in the bedroom he is too scared to scream, in the passage he's not. OP says it was to protect Reeva, might endanger Reeva's life.

Definitely .
Sometimes I have wondered if he did have his legs on the whole time and was shooting from the hip and crouching down a bit . Maybe that is where Nel is going ,he wanted it on record about him crouching .
If the argument had started downstairs and ended upstairs I would have thought he would still have them on . In Op's situation I would only ever be seen without them in bed .

the bullets hit the door at 99cm approx.

the difference in height between op on stumps and on prosthetics is not great.
gun trajectory variables: standing, crouching, kneeling. holding gun higher or lower.

he could easily have been on the prosthetics. imo

Hmm, OP's bro and sister aren't looking very convinced today. I think that's good for the prosecution...

  • #291
N: Obviously Reeva never respondede - where you waiting for a response?

O: No Milady.

O says : There was never an extended arm...I kept the firearm close to me so nobody could grab it..

  • #292
I yelled so that they would leave? Hmmmm, but he was at the end of the passage and looking into the bathroom at that time?

  • #293
Back from the break.

N: You just told us what you shouted and then you got emotional. Why?

P: It was a traumatic evening milady.
P: Because I was terrified.
N: You’re upset because that’s what you shouted at Reeva
P: He says in a small voice – no milady
P: Milady, I’m traumatised of the events, by repeating those words. It reminds me about those events of the evening (corrects himself) morning.

Hmmmm, Freudian slip?

Nel describes how OP had his arm close to him, bent, gun pointing.

OP says he was not pointing the gun in front and something about his hand balancing on the wall and chest facing closet...then says it was pointing in front of him??

  • #295
O: I walked through the cupboards so I could see into the bathroom, then to where the carpet meets the tiles...

N: So you could see? There was light in the bathroom?

O: There was light outside...

OP now outlinin checking the bathroom, a sort of miltary recon and Nel lets him go, then points out he missed out the door slamming...

O denies that, Nel says he can prove he never mentioned it. OP does not accept it but does not want to see the records.

N: See your legal team? They're not getting up? They're not objecting?

Now Roux is up. Wants record checked at lunch.

I REALLY wish I was at home and able to watch this live - thanks for the great updates though everyone it's a good second choice

O: I never moved to a specific spot after I shouted.

N: Did you hear door shut before you screamed at Reeva or after?

O: After.

Nel again asks why he never mentioned slamming door in his evidence this morning and OP asks him to repeat the question before the question he just asked??

Boy, am I confused!

" I'm not sure".....OPU

  • #299
it has interested me that op is not looking at nel:

the fact that nel may spot him in a lie. read his body language.

but also, that by turning towards nel, others in the gallery may also read his body language... the mother, and maybe just as importantly his own family members and support.
