Then what was the first set of 'gunshots' the Stipps heard?

It can't be the bat. The bat comes after the gunshots according to both sides.

Forget about both sides. Use your own rationale. I believe the state, at one stage, had a theory about the bat coming first, anyway.

I cannot get a stream to work, help! Please let me know what is working for you.

Google Pistorius trial live stream

Pick Mediaite.

Click on second screen on Mediaite labeled "NBC.'

I see- from update here, expert said the cleaner's cloths could not have transferred fibres onto door as they didn't appear to be cleaning it 'forcefully'.

(I'm reading around, tring to make sense of what I heard with my own ears this morning).

On whoop, interviewees (dunno who they are) says the defence is not 'fatally flawed.

Hi Peeps
Just catching up this morning, are they at lunch?
Zwiebel ~ I'm so happy to see you today! I was totally lost yesterday without your awesome transcribing

So he's deducted from a photograph of the socks that the fibres/fibers on the prothetics are the same as the fibres/fibers from the door.

*fibres/fibers for American purposes :p
:floorlaugh:
You're like me - fluent typing in both! (At least you're not putting defenSe right smack dab next to defenCe though.)

Unless they slept through the real gunshots and woke up to [Oscar] screaming, followed by the bat strikes.

Because a human scream is louder than gunshots? Ummm, no.

  • #608
No, they would certainly sound differently.
But I thought he said they got hold of some black talons.

Yes, he said they got some I think. But they were 'very difficult' to find.

I think OP must have bought up most of the existing supplies when he started collecting them....

That makes sense to me, but, apparently State's forensic expert says gun first.

"Not fatally flawed" reminded me of Dead Parrot sketch:

Thanks! This break seems to be really long.

It can't be the bat. The bat comes after the gunshots according to both sides.

What makes you think that the bat was only used once?

NO!

As they say in the garbage business--Rubbish!

I can't give you evidence of this but I have often had a feeling that the hip shot was during the first set of bangs and that the second set were to finish her off .
Outlandish opinion I know but I do just see this as possible
Maybe the blood on the floor disproves this because there should have been more blood unless of course she first fell partly on to the toilet (some blood could have gone down inside the pan and then slipped off after the ricocheted shot to avoid being hit again . I know it doesn't totally add up but neither does OP's version
J MOO

That has crossed my mind too. He maybe shot once not thinking he'd hit her or without thinking, went into meltdown mode and then needed the screeming to stop, and came up with a plan

To make up for me eating the cheesecake. German fried eggs.

They aren't burnt. That's chocolate on the bottom.

(for guests who can't see the attachment, they are candy).

Oh, zwiebel, but raspberry cheesecake is my very favorite as is raspberry anything!

These eggs do look and sound fantastic though!!! You are a good one!

And a pause long enough to deduce that she would have screamed in pain :(

Absolutely . Although I have never been shot any injuries I have received has always resulted in a scream .
I once knocked myself out and can't remember screaming but my hubby says I did which is why he came running to my assistance.

Does it? I must have missed the bit where the Prosecution accepted this. I recall hearing Nel say early on that the State's case was that the gun shots were at 3:17. Has this changed?

No they haven't. I think the state still believes the bat was first

Whereas I just wasted loads of time each time I typed the word, agonizing if I should put fibres or fibers....I do that with mom/mom too, and lots of words with s in when the US uses z.

Completely daft, as I am sure everyone knows what both versions mean......

Because a human scream is louder than gunshots? Ummm, no.

No because they slept through them.

For instance, one witness said she awoke to bloodcurdling screams from a woman.

But she only heard one set of shots, after that.

They were further away than Stipps so all noises would be quieter.
