Well......I think it safe to say Dixon has done nothing to enhance the credibility of the defence's version of events. It has made me think though.

Firstly I thought when asked by Masipa the other day Nel said the door in court was a Replica?

Can anyone confirm this. I also cannot understand how if it is the actual door why cleaners would be allowed to touch it at all?

Surely it should be treated as evidence until the Court case and any subsequent appeals have been exhausted?
Hoping Minor 4th or one of the attorney's can explain this please.

The door is the actual door, the construction around it to act as the toilet is a replica to size of the toilet. They said something about the frame of the door as well which isn't the original either... obviously!

Nel says a bullet cannot move a person backwards.

Expert counters he did not say that, says the instability of the broken hip would cause that.

Nel says that being flung backwards only happens in movies and wants the expert to find any literature to prove that can happen. Expert agrees he will, tonight.

OK I can't get any feed to work!

N: Bruise...according to you, that was missed...(discussing number of this photo now)

Nel: I'm embarrassed, I can't find mine.

And Roux assists, has a spare. Laughter in court.

That's what I was thinking. She's screaming help and he's yelling back at here "oh help, help, help" in a sarcastic manner

Yep, that's what I've thought all along .. I can just picture it (unfortunately) ..

D: It is darker in the middle, lighter, then dark....

N: Prof Botha never identified this as a bruise. Why not?

D: I cannot say...

Comes back tomorrow with a die hard dvd.

N: Next day it's gone? At the PM, it's not there anymore?

D: I can only say what I saw in the photo....

N: But will you agree, in photo at PM, it is not visible?

Did you catch the Judge smiling as she admonished Nel?

It was as if she was telling him: Gerrie, yes you've got this crappy, corrupt witness totally trapped, and I can see you are enjoying yourself. I'd like to let you have more fun, but I have to protect the decorum of the Court, so tone it down a bit.

Great post.

I wanted to post on this too, but could have never put it quite so well.

Thanks

Nel says in post lividity, bruises get more obvious.

D says he is sure he can see something in the photo he used and it is not just a change of light.

Nel stresses 'You were not at the post mortem.'

Oh come on now Nel, you should have photocopied them at lunch break!
