I don't really understand all of this or why it matters

At BH

N. What did you do there (At BH)?

D. Not very much.....

  • #686
This is just awful testimony. He sounds like he's got something to hide even when disclosing what date he was at the crime scene.

  • #687
N: When did you go back to crime scene? Which days?

D: Day of the bail hearing verdict...

N: Why? What did you do there?

D: Not very much.....just to see what my involvement would be....thought primary residue might be of importance....changed to the marks and what caused them and so on and so forth....

N: I am really surprised at you using a phrase like so on and so forth.

Now the people on whoop are talking about 'correctional supervision'.

That's house arrest for three years.

That, to me, would seem a very light sentence, even for just what OP admits to doing.

That would be utterly, utterly outrageous.

Look how he refused to accept the modest bail conditions and contrived to have them all lifted so he could drink booze, go abroad on holiday and all that!
This man is a very, very dangerous creature who should be locked up for a long time to protect everyone around him. I'd worry about going anywhere in case this fool was on the loose nearby.

I've been finding the WhoopTV live link has been working well today to the UK. Linky at start of thread.

I think it is a strong possibility that she WAS hit before the last 4 shots ... whether it was with the parabellum or the air rifle or both. If she was hit with the parabellum in the first round of shots, then I am guessing it might have been in the arm and downstairs close to the pillar, where there is a considerable amount of blood. Speculating further, I say the arm because the arm wound is Said to be "near amputation like". Could that sort of wound be caused by a single shot? I do not know.

Without viewing all of the post mortem photos, the autopsy report, and hearing Dr. Saaymen's testimony, and the full ballistics and blood spatter reports (which we are not privy to) it is pure speculation at this point.

That said, from the few post mortem photos of the wounds, I am absolutely convinced that some of the smaller wounds that we have seen of her back, are air rifle pellet wounds. You can have my first born if I am wrong on that :-)

I think all our minds run all over the place on this case because we don't have a clear picture of exactly went on other than our belief that maybe OP is not
being truthful over the terrible circumstances of Reeva's death .
I did think the air rifle played a part and that is what maybe caused one of the smaller injuries but there has been no mention of a pellet mark being found and the state prosecutor didn't state there were any other injuries except the ones consistent with the shooting in the toilet .
This case is enough to make everyone dizzy . I can't imagine what Reeva's mother must be going through listening to all this confusion in court .

The only aspect witness investigated on his own was varnish found on prosth leg. It had the same chemical construction as varnish on door.

He did not take varnish sample from door himself, came from Mr V in a sealed forensic bag.

Maybe they will during closing arguments

I do hope so. I just think they are setting about things in a bit of strange way if they want to hammer home to the Judge it is a Premeditated offence. The whole case has IMO been like no other I've followed. Certain bits are similar but we all have so many unanswered questions that I had hoped would have been ticked off long ago.
Often it's been said Nel will have a reason or a plan as to why he's not said something, introduced certain witnesses or explained theories, but unless he really can squash all of OP's experts and give an explosive closing statement I am not sure he has got rid of ALL doubt.

OP has made numerous mistakes, but is that because he is lying about things or is it because he is quite simply stupid and thinks he knows better than his advocate so can chip in and argue about evidence when he wants?!

One thing is clear IMO, he genuinely believes he made a mistake and that it is not his fault. Whether that's thanks to his molly-coddling family members I have no idea. He is still coming across to me as a spoilt teenager who thinks he knows it all, I honestly don't think he has an inkling of the severity of this case or the consequences of his actions.
Perhaps it is the effect of the drugs he is now on, that could cause significant numbing of his feeling and attitude and the tears are all part of that. Hence the reason most who are actually in the court say his emotions are genuine. The drug s may be the reason for that.
I don't see how Masipa can do much other than convict him of Murder but I have a horrible feeling, he may get away with doing any actual prison time.

D: I was asked to work out the sequence of events as well, cricket bat marks....

Nel wants to know where the bat they used is. Mr V has it, he's told.

D does not know what happened to the gun/ammo they used that night. And now reveals they did not use black talon. His 'undestanding' Ranger ammo used, but it was not tasked to him to supply ammo that night.

Black talon was used previously??

Interesting because this evidence is not proof of anything other than he kicked the door .
Is there proof of exactly when he kicked the door . He could have kicked the door before and after he shot .
It has not been proven beyond doubt one way or another about whether he was wearing his legs the whole time .

Oh my god, his excuse for not knowing the ammunition? "it was dark"
