People in the gallery look restless.

Nel asks for adjournment as he has to reconstruct something. He'll ring court from chambers when they're ready. Wonder how long this is going to take. My guess 10 minutes before tea time and then we'll have a tea break.

OMG. I was thinking the same thing but said nothing because I figured I'd be the only one who knew who he was!

I figured at least one person here had to remember him also! :yesss:

one thing that comes across clearly, and without ambiguity. is the sound test the defence did was a complete furphy, everything went wrong. the gun jammed , every time, the cricket bat re guns couldn't get up to decibel level, and all up, for sure it isn't gonna be played in court. the only thing left is the scream test that Roux promised he did with Oscar ,and that test would prove, Roux promised , that Oscar can and does scream like a woman.

its on the record, Roux has to produce it.

Now onto leg tests. Roux asks witness if he made sure that was the leg OP was wearing that night, when he cut a piece for testing?

W: That's what he told me.

Roux down, Nel up. Nel wants five mins adjournment.

You can't make this stuff up.

I'm jealous! It's so far for bands to come to Australia that we don't get nearly as many. Would have been amazing growing up in NYC!

It was quite the blast. Got to meet a LOT of people, and was right in the thick of the Yippie! and anti-Vietnam movement. Abbie Hoffman, Frank Zappa, Patti Smith, David Peel & The Lower East Side, Bob Dylan. Was editor of my college newspaper, so had access to ELP, ELO, Chicago, Dead, Todd Rundgren, Meat Loaf, Blondie, that whole era. Wouldn't trade that experience for the world, but also hadda leave there before having kids cuz I was NOT about to raise kids there in the 1980s.

Surely Shirleys you'd think Nel will point out the 'bat' versus 'gunshot' sound tests were done in completely different circumtances to the sounds heard by the witnesses - indoors vs out for starters. So I still don't see the point in them - yeah, they can sound similar on a recording but it's not a true representation of the conditions on the night of the shooting.

It appeared to me that Roux was bullying his own witness and constantly interrupting him in mid-sentence to stick his oar in. Maybe he should have got up there on the stand since he seems to be answering his own questions Lol.

He should leave the poor man alone to say his bit, he has tinnitus !

Did Wollie challenge Mangena's "rods test" conclusion that OP repositioned himself after the first shot?

He did a scream test with Oscar? Did he have to grab his nuts to get him to reach the kind of high note he would have had to in order to sound like Reeva, who was really the one who screamed for her life?

We have Miley Cirus 'performing' tomorrow night here......ain't we lucky?
:please::facepalm:

So I have absolutely no idea what Woolie has actually told us happened. Does anyone know??

He's confirmed many things that we've heard from previous ballistics testimonies.

We know that Reeva couldn't possibly have been sitting on the toilet, which would have relied on differing ballistics evidence.

At present the mark on Reeva's back is certainly being brought into question regarding Mangena's testimony.

I agree. It wasn't Wollie who foolishly promised m'lady he'd be finished by next Tuesday.

A friend tells me that when the court breaks there's a hasty, barely restrained stampede for coffee and smokes by the press.

He also says when the court is full, people will come in and stand against the wall to listen. There are always a few plain clothes policeman standing against the wall. The court is not that full today. Air cons are quiet. Not too hot or cold. Smells faintly like a church.

Wow that's quite impressive indeed. I'm a big Dylan fan and when I visited New York I just wandered around the village wishing I could have been there back in the day. But of course I was barely born then lol.

Sounding hard with your own witnesses is sometimes a bit of a tactic isn't it, to make it seem you're rigorous and want clear straight answers, even from your own side - Juan Martinez was like that a bit at times. But I agree that Roux seemed to be getting a bit frustrated.

A journo at the trial CassandrajWard has said a Police warrant officer has been observing Oscar all morning and is "writing furiously into his notebook. 11 pages worth so far"

She says its very curious why they are doing this.
