the real problem is. Wollie just cannot say where the shots were fired from or which order they hit, or where Reeva was standing, or where Oscar was standing. even though the laser shows it, Woll doesn't seem able to explain the movement .. the placing of the shots.

Mangena's testimony has been by far the most powerful in this whole trial and Roux was always going to have a battle on his hands trying to discredit him. I feel for this guy more than Dixon because he does seem to have been the 'go to guy' of his day but I get the feeling he's also a bit of a dinosaur as far as new technology is concerned.

Ohhhhh, I don't care if it rains or freezes
Long as I've got Oscar's prostheses

I'm getting a little giddy. :floorlaugh:

I wish this was going a little smoother, more like my son's sixth-grade class' mock trial. Now those kids knew WTF they were doing. And if one of them lied and was caught at it, they got a pie in the face from the jury.

And not ONE of them cried to the judge like Woolly Mammoth does. And if they called the judge "My Lady," he'd have failed them on the spot.

Cp M calls W 'My Wymung'?? And he sometimes calls him 'my son'???

Says they are Afrikaans terms and that means they have the greatest respect for each other so he will not criticize him....

Incidentally, SAME TERM that OP calls Stander...Oom, translates to 'uncle.'

Okay, I think Nel is making headway here, showing OP must have been closer to the toilet door. W is taking a long time to think about it.

woll wants to tbink . he needs to think.

the laser is there, it can move slightly , oh there is a nice photo!!. he is distracted by the nice photo as opposed to the nasty photos.

nel is leading Wollie gently on. gently gently.. leading this horse to water and making it drink. its so subtle and so damn clever.

  • #428
I bet Roux cannot wait for this day to be over....:sigh:

wolli is the old warhorse, too many battles, too much gunfire, and Nel is carefully leading him along the path of rationale and inevitability..

I am feeling very sorry for Woll now. I kinda thought I would and so it has been ... I just want him to lie down with a cup of strong tea, with plenty of sugar, and listen to some Johnny Clegg for a while.

Yeah, it would be much easier if these guys (Dixon and Wollie for me) were assh*les instead of seeming to be kind, gentle men.

  • #431
N We both agree, and you agree with, A the first shot was in the hip. deceased would have fallen back and to the right?

W agrees, I think.

  • #432
How can they possibly go so long without stopping for tea? Or absinthe?

  • #433
Oscar gives the "what's up with this guy" gesture to Mr Roux ... looks very unhappy.

nel slowly points out the reasons why this laser beam is pointing the way it is. he is getting Woll to see it, he gives woll a pat on the back for picking up an error and woll is pleased as punch ,he had a tiny win in a day of hideous losses, and nel has him relaxed and curious and wanting to KNOW more, instead of talk more.

N: We agree in all probability, Head shot was last?

W: I think that was Prof's S conclusion as well....I say C or D (caused head wound).

  • #438
woll is seeing how it is.. he is seeing it how his little oom sees it.. Nel takes him very carefully, very clearly, with a sweet face to him.. woll is entranced.. simply entranced...

I know!! I'm waiting to run out and buy some dinner in the break. Now is an opportune time, m'lady!

So they are still talking about Reeva's head/hip/arm wound and OP sits there looking totally disinterested .. no more throwing up in the bucket or looking uncomfortable, covering his ears etc .. just nothing ..
