Hmmmm….Anxiety !!!! I know everybody works differently - however... My partner (call him my husband) - has prostate cancer. He lost a daughter at birth. Had another daughter who was born with severe cerebral palsy at 23 weeks of age - who is now 22.

My partners ex wife has severe bi polar disorder and unable to care for their beautiful daughter - who resides with us. I have 2 x young adult children and also live next door to my ex husband …..sounding very dysfunctional now!!!! Work full time in aviation (I am an only child) and also care for my 90 year old mother.

Silly isn't we all feel we are blessed with such an amazing extended but strange family unit (yes ex husband next door included).

Have we ever thought about inflicting pain on any body else. AAARH that would be NO !

We have just booked another trip back to Africa (our favourite place on earth) - in September of this year. Hope to see Ozzie baba - where he belongs !!!

Ha.. my stepfather used to chase us 6 kids with a fully operative chainsaw.. obviously, he never caught us, but if he had, we'd be 6 ft under by now. We had a lot of anxiety!!.

( in all fairness, as Roux would say, he was in every other way an excellent and generous stepfather, he just had moments.. you know how it is. ) .

I'd reckon Judge Masipas early life would put Oscars in the shade for hard times..she grew up in apartheid days, when life for her would have been truly oppressive and frightening.

Absolutely, Trooper!

.. and also, I was going to say, if anyone in that relationship should've had anxiety issues about intruders it would've been Reeva and not him .. for she is the one who actually experienced it on a previous occasion. Didn't see her reaching for a gun every little time she heard a noise though, did we?

Psychologist on WhoopWhoop saying the OP might have a psychotic break if he is incarcerated.

I wonder if he's the kind of guy who'd kill himself just before he was taken in.

Excellent point Trooper. No one would deny it's tough to lose a parent at a young age, to be disabled etc but he also had many opportunities that other's don't. But again, that's a great point you make.

I agree wholeheartedly. In our state capital, dogs are not even allowed to sit at café tables on the sidewalk. However, my dog is under permanent house arrest because of her propensity to kill other dogs. But, she does have an anxiety problem. Her anti-anxiety coat lessens her fear of thunderstorms, but she still wants to kill all other dogs!! All remedial suggestions greatly received.

Maybe OP should consider permanently wearing an anti-anxiety coat.

Aww your wee dog. Give them a cuddle from me please :-) Is the shirt the equivalent of our "thunder-shirt" in the UK? They help loads of nervous dogs. X

I'd be willing to bet narcissism isn't mentioned anywhere in her reports though.

yes, i was wondering why/how she has managed not to notice the narcissism...

...so long as it isn't a break OUT!!!

V then speaks about how there is a history of family anxiety, and that 'concealing' his disabilty prevented him seeking emotional support from others. This got worse when he began sexual relationships, then success made it all worse - media events, 'he needed to take longer and longer to prepare himself'.

Is she saying that if one is anxious it could mitigate murder. My goodness, there would be mass murders going on everywhere.

I bet the Bulldog can't wait.

OP felt safer in Italy than in SA? Imagine that.

Ironically, many psychs also feel someone afflicted with narcissistic personality disorder also suffers from a poor and fragile self-image.

Just sayin'.

Soooo he was concerned about his sister's safety but as it turns out, he would probably have been the biggest threat to it should she have stayed overnight at his house...

The pitch of her voice isn't all that dissimilar to OP.
