A number of South African journalists and members of the public complaining about these reporting restrictions.

Many accusing judge of double standards as nothing similar happened during the recent trial of Johannes Kana who was found guilty of the rape and murder of 17-year-old Anene Booysen.

#OscarPistorius Double standards. No media embargo in Anene Booyen case. Peasant girl from Bredasdorp who was raped & mutilated.

a bucket has been carefully placed next to Oscar..

I swear. I am not making this up

what if anything are they desirous of hiding?!

"The media's lawyer said editors would agree on a package to use later."
So one "big brother' will write this "package", and the people will never know the full details of what the pathologist said. That is not democracy.

I don't know, Shane. The judge seemed to tell the reporters that they can 'do their job' so long as nothing is broadcast live. That tells me they can publish all the details after today?

There is something they wish to hide from the people as I noted above with this package nonsense, that some "big brother" will write.

George Orwell would understand...

Can someone share with me a link of the trial that is written out verbatim? I can't watch the video at work but I can read it. :) I've been using the Telegraph from the UK but not sure how accurate it is. There's so many people writing out what they think they heard that I worry I'm getting distorted info. Thanks!

Edited: I really appreciate the "blow by blow" given by WS members. It certainly keeps me in the loop but I'm sure you understand that we want very accurate and complete quotes of the testimony.

I think the reason OP is reacting so strongly is because he has been telling his family, friends and fans that was all a big misunderstanding. A nice cleaned up version of the truth. Now all the gory details are coming out and he is more upset about people learning the truth than he is that RS is dead. MOO.

The news24 article says that only a "package" can come out. Did you read that piece?

Update; But I will be glad if your inference is correct. But again, if it can't be taped and quoted verbatim,i t may not be accurate or complete.

Maybe they can just attach it to his head with some elastic like a bib, then he can vomit straight into it and hopefully dull the sound.

RE OP's Retching

Does it look like he could stomach giving testimony? And getting a vigorous cross?

Yes, I read that piece before the other piece was published. The Mirror (just 15 minutes ago) said that the judge told the reporters they can do their job so long as nothing is broadcast live. I take that to mean it's okay to publish all the details? I'm confused about what's what.

He's still vomiting, y'all.

I'm kind of over it.

Pathologist tells us ammunition used was designed to cause substantial damage,

Not all the details, but they may summarize.

Now I'm rather pleased for the media blackout. The visual conjured by my imagination is unpleasant enough. Ugh!

It's not on right now. The judge has restricted the media's reporting of the pathologist's testimony. The media may only paraphrase so this is probably the best you're gonna get.

Probably high velocity, hollow point bullets.
Again with supersonic shockwaves when leaving the gun.

  • #297
The bullets used were designed to mushroom and cause maximum damage. What the heck is wrong with people? Why do they need this type of ammunition?

  • #298
OP's vomiting hasn't stopped. Saayman is still on the stand.

I only report what is described, I , myself ,am sorry that I am reporting continuing and violent vomiting

Its not doing me much good either..

WellI I amended my post to include: Update; But I will be glad if your inference is correct. But again, if it can't be taped and quoted verbatim, it may not be accurate or complete.
