That's about the least suspicious to me...dunno where you live, but its been explained that many people, given access to private security on a housing estate, would almost instinctively call them first for a quicker response time. (Many peeps transport sick/injured as opposed to waiting for an ambulance too for the same reason.) We have the same issue here.

On any given day in the UK you can usually find a headline over long wait times for police, fire, and/or ambulance responses. (I blame the bloody roundabouts! :))

But Stander is the manager, he wasn't anything to do with security.

ETA: Of course, this doesn't deter from the 'Everything's fine'. That's a massive sticking point for me.

I suppose that's why, for that very reason that I view Oscars statement that he yelled to Reeva to ' ring the police'... see... he didn't trust the police to come quickly that's why he called Standar if we follow that logic. so why would he , in this extreme tell REEVA to call the police??

doesn't make sense to me.

which is why I doubt this whole calling out nonsense..

my camera feed shows the courthouse, and a gentle rain falling, falling falling. . nothing happening.. nearly 10 past 2pm
Mine shows the SA Coat of Arms...which, if anyone is interested, translates to 'Diverse People Unite'.

They'll be starting soon. Reporters have been warned pics will be graphic. (Cue retching since I typed graphic. ;)) Courtesy of reporter tweets.

and he stated he had been burgled before, violence towards him, in the past.. didn't call the police THEN..

court back, folks.

Oof. That's a good point....and that Stander wasn't security. We're back live with the judge asking the witness to keep answers more brief to aid interpreter.

the VON on the stand... Nels x-examing his own witness.

photo//looking down from the top of the stairs..

this is where, the witness, claarice showed where she took the towels from , a sort of linen press.

Oscar has his glasses on. looking at the screen.

I had the great pleasure of looking after these two Boerboel chaps. Beautiful natures, but the bigger one was always on guard/protection mode when I walked him. If he saw a stranger outside he was in full protection mode. With people he knew, he was a gentle giant.

Gorgeous dogs they are, and yes, gentle giants with their humans...strangers not tolerated. I will add when we had our home invasion, we had 2 of them, our female died of old age 18 months ago, they were somehow coaxed into an outside laundry area, don't ask me how as we were totally mystified, we didn't hear a thing. Since that day, we brought them inside the house at night, and when she passed, we got the yappers to alert us to danger. So the dogs don't really feature hugely in this case IMO, they also poison dogs all the time...thankfully that never happened to ours when they broke in.
Heres our boy! :)

this is the entrance now into the main bedroom..

blood trail .. following the blood trail.

blood on the floor, on the walls..

this is the door to the main bedroom suite... he black object there is an airgun.. a windbanks airgun..

whoa
damage to a door.. a hole thru the main bedroom door..

Von didn't pick up the damage to the bedroom door .

next to the airgun , a baseball bat..

There's a lot of damage to the bedroom door to include a hole...and an airgun propped up beside the door.

(Nel hasn't said as much but not hard to imagine a bullet hole and more bashing on this door too.)

now.. just inside the main bedroom suite.. .. sunglasses ... Von says this is how it was that early morning..

behind the curtain.. is there a door?? Nel.

Von..... behind the curtain, there is a door..

was that door was open?? yes, door was open

the curtain was drawn open... they were not closed.. ooooo

Do you think he is speaking Afrikaans so that those in SA who do not speak English will understand his testimony?
