I think his going upstairs whilst Stipp was outside talking to Stander may well be to open the window. Stipp testified the windows were closed at the time of the shooting. However, I recall today during testimony that the last witness said there was nothing on the window. Perhaps that was why OP's hands had been washed so as to leave no traces.

Did Stipp go upstairs to see that the window was closed......?hmm

I am stunned by the photos shown today, they have painted a completely different picture to me than I originally had in my mind. I see rage, I've seen homes where damage has been done to walls & doors during a rage. The bedroom entrance door looks to have been beaten by a baseball bat, I've seen doors just like this before, after being bashed in a rage by a baseball bat. I think this is why the blue baseball bat was pointed out in the photos. I also noticed a small hole that appeared to be a gunshot hole. Next the doona on the floor, why? Was it tossed off the bed during a fight. How did OP not trip over that in the dark when he was bringing the fan in from the balcony & only on his stumps. Then we have the metal plate on the bath bashed in, the toilet door destroyed & let's not forget so much force the tiles fell off the wall. Lastly the phone in 2 pieces, I believe RS dropped the phone as she fled to the toilet & the cover came off as it hit the floor.

His guard dogs were housed just below the window in the bathroom.The intruder managed to slip by his dogs, used the ladder being used by his civil Contractor to climb up into his bathroom then slipped into his luxurious toilet for a pee or to ogle at his girlie magazines.

Last year it was stated by someone (in the know) that the ladder was not long enough for anyone to have reached the window. I will do a search to see if I can find the article.

Once again, it would have been quicker for Oscar to yell for help from the nearest (bathroom) window, I would have thought? Rather than wasting time running back into the bedroom. But maybe he knew the bathroom window did not open fully, enough for anyone to yell out...or climb in?

That is when it dawned on me that it could have been Reeva who was in the toilet. I returned to the bathroom calling her name. I tried to open the toilet door but it was locked. I rushed back into the bedroom and opened the sliding door exiting onto the balcony and screamed for help. I put on my prosthetic legs, ran back to the bathroom and tried to kick the toilet door open. I think I must then have turned on the lights.

I went back into the bedroom and grabbed my cricket bat to bash open the toilet door. A panel or panels broke off and I found the key on the floor and unlocked and opened the door. Reeva was slumped over but alive. I battled to get her out of the toilet and pulled her into the bathroom.

What was the point of him running onto the balcony to scream help at that point?, it doesn't sit right with me, surely his only focus at this point would have been to get the toilet door open?.
What good was calling help on his balcony going to do?, it wasn't like anyone could just walk into his i presume locked house and help him, strange.

Yes, I just saw that tweet. I don't think it really explains how the key then ended up on the floor again. If a person is in a rush to unlock a door, I just can't see why they would unlock it, then waste time fiddling about to pull it out of the lock again and drop it on the floor?

I agree, looking at the door it would have been easy to completely smash at that point.

that bathroom window was open.. its much larger than the toilet window.. AND the BLINDS< I have that sort myself, wooden slat blinds. like.. colonial blinds. plantation blinds. were descended half way down the window..

not only did he go to sleep with the window open, but with the blinds half way open (/or half way shut depending on your mood)

I call bullsheeyit on this self diagnosis of terror and paranoia

Trooper, I also have timber venetian blinds, they are heavy & even when raised halfway up as shown in the photo they make a noise when you try to slide your window open.

OK OP was on his stumps so how did he reach the key that was on the floor inside the toilet area?? My understanding the top panels of the toilet door was out! Somebody help.

If he yelled for help, why did he tell security everything is fine?

for sure, the VON will be on the stand for days, while Roux goes around and around asking if he shaved that Valentines Day morning..


and going clear up to what he had for breakfast this morning. anything but the evidence that is put forward..

no one has mentioned dog barks ar all. maybe they were not there.. its hard to imagine them being silent as Standar , Standars daughter, Pieter Baba ,Jacob, Dr Stipp , the paramedics, the detectives. all rock up

To my understanding, we don't know what, if any, significance it has. As I'd said, it seems very strange for both doors to have such similar damage.

The baseball bat is next to the airgun - both propped up beside the bedroom door, when open. No debris or damage on the bat testified to.

Cricket bath supposedly in situ in the bathroom...there is blood splatter on it and definitely (a lot) around the cricket bat. It appears to my untrained eyes she bled over the area itself. I thought (key word) that her being hit with the cricket bat had been disproven?

So much of what we have seen suggests to me that Oscar was playing for time after he Shot through the door, he knew he killed her and spent a good few minutes thinking about was he was going to do/say imo..

No he saw it from his own balcony at the time he witnessed the shots being fired.

Nice one.

He claims not to have been on his stumps (in his bail affidavit), and we are still not 100% clear that the evidence of his being on his stumps is categorical, but your observation - assuming he WAS only on his stumps - is a fascinating one. Given the height from the floor of the hole he made, and his assumed height at the time, it would be passing difficult for him to reach down far enough to reach an object placed on the floor inside the room.
