What is the story behind the bedroom door damage?

Are there any clear photos of the baseball bat? Does it have any debris or damage?

Any photos of the cricket bat as it was in the bathroom? (Wondering if he hit her with it, and where any spatter is on it.)

This group of photos were shown during the last session for the day. Bedroom entrance door & baseball bat may imply a previous event. Von couldn't testify about these photos so the significance is yet to be revealed, but they were shown for a reason.

I was frantically taking screenshots while it was all going on, and reviewing them, I found this one, of a bag on the left of the bath, which I'm sure was said to contain blood and wood splinters

for sure, the VON will be on the stand for days, while Roux goes around and around asking if he shaved that Valentines Day morning..

and going clear up to what he had for breakfast this morning. anything but the evidence that is put forward..

My perfect scenario....Roux questioning OP when he takes the stand & gives his version, as in his affidavit that Roux just might have helped prepare lol. Can you imagine OP explaining the open curtains in the bedroom....OP saying "I opened the curtains to scream for help from the balcony. Then Roux to OP "But that's not in your statement, how can it be, if you say you opened the curtains, wouldn't you think it was important to have that in your statement if you say that's how it is" lol

Nice one.

He claims not to have been on his stumps (in his bail affidavit), and we are still not 100% clear that the evidence of his being on his stumps is categorical, but your observation - assuming he WAS only on his stumps - is a fascinating one. Given the height from the floor of the hole he made, and his assumed height at the time, it would be passing difficult for him to reach down far enough to reach an object placed on the floor inside the room.

Thank you otyikondo next question: so OP must have been on his stumps when he fired the gun, judging from the bullet holes on the door. Right?

Botha's words from his Vanity Fair article.

“There is no way anything else could have happened,” said Botha. “It was just them in the house, and according to the security registers she had been staying there for two to three days, so he had to be used to her by that time.... There was no forced entry. The only place there could have been entrance was the open bathroom window, and we did everything we could to see if anyone went through it, and it was impossible. So I thought it was an open-and-closed case. He shot her—that’s it. I was convinced that it was murder, and I told my colonel, ‘You already read him his rights, so you have to arrest him.’ ”

that was another glaring anomaly, Pisto..

because, the car WAS running, the doors WERE open.. when did Standar decide it was a dumb idea??

if he said no, then who DID start the car??

As far as I understand OP [allegedly] said to Stander: "take my car to take reeva to hospital."
Stander says no, he would rather get a medical and ambulance....

Do you have a link where it was reported the car WAS running ? Sorry, but I can't follow the live stream so I ask for a link ;)

And as far as I remember Stander stood at the car (a white BMW) with a phone at his ear when Dr Stipp arrived at OP's house. But at this time Stander have not called ambulance. He did it only when Dr Stipp asked him to do this.

#OscarTrial Van Rensburg can't remember whether Ms Stander told him that she went upstairs to fetch hand towels or whether #Pistorius did

I have not been following as zealously as some, but I would say the answer is yes, though not necessarily for the "because" that you offered. I don't recall if the forensics guy said categorically that the shots, too, were fired from stumps, but he argued that the bat blows were. However, he wasn't really the most convincing witness I've ever encountered.

All the same, it would be very strange - assuming the order is shots first then bat - if OP first had his legs on and then took them off.

He's been arguing all the time the opposite, of course.

Someone has posted Roux: What if I put it to you that the door was on the outside of the key?

it is in Dr Stipps testimony , pisto. and, also Pieter Babas testimony.. both state the same event.

Again , this is what makes me pull my hair out . I've come to realize that in south Africa court that they do not lay groundwork to put on the record what is fact due to assumption that judge already has . Therefore when he positions supposition to "pose " an alternative he states in this way....

It's not needed to be fact ..is that correct ? Just so misleading ?

Just thought, Pistorius made this statement in his affidavit:

When I reached the bed, I realised that Reeva was not in bed. That is when it dawned on me that it could have been Reeva who was in the toilet. I returned to the bathroom calling her name. I tried to open the toilet door but it was locked. I rushed back into the bedroom and opened the sliding door exiting onto the balcony and screamed for help.

As the bathroom window was open, why did he feel the need to rush back to his bedroom and shout for help? The bedroom window is pretty much at the side of the house, so why not shout for help through bathroom window? It's not as if he ran to a window at the front of the house to shout for help, see floorplan attached:

Image86.jpg

Pistorius was running backwards and forwards from the bathroom to the bedroom for nonsensical reasons.

Just seen that james83 has made a similar point, but I've added a pic for clarity.

lol, Roux would argue the 🤬🤬🤬 end off a donkey and then some!

There is no need for anyone to get demoralized over very common but incompetent bureaucratic oversights by the SA Police criminal investigation team, that in no way or form resulted in tampering of the crime scene and destruction of evidence. None of Roux’s shallow cross examinations questions compromised the prosecution’s case against his client, he continues to score self goals, why stop him. The cops at the Police station did not create the two dents of the door neither did they inject semi digested food into Reeva’ stomach. How will Roux counter the semi digested food found in Reeva’s stomach that the state claims she ate at 1:00am? Will he claim that that Reeva walked and ate in her sleep? Colonel Vermeulen has testified that the bat fit in both the dents only if was held diagonally across and close to the door with the bat handle three feet from the floor compatible with Oscar standing on his stumps in a comfortable position. We have this watershed moment when Mylady requested to examine the bat to see for herself the critical evidence that bodes well for the State when Nel was examining the Colonel on rebuttal, this pours cold water on OP apologists illogical claim that she is leaning to the right side of her courtroom.

It was OP alone who willfully compromised and destroyed evidence and altered the crime scene without the approval of the police by first insisting he bashed open the door to save Reeva’s life then moved Reeva’s body from the crime scene in the toilet altering it forever out into the bathroom, later he carried her downstairs in his arms. Nobody can dispute that Valentine’s day is not just a day when couples madly in love raise their relationship to a higher level, however it is also a day that when vengeance is used to end horrendous relationships. The State is performing a meticulous job of exposed his sworn affidavit as a pack of lies. Today Mylady demonstrated to Roux that she wasn’t impressed by his cross examination at all, it is bound to make Roux and Co spend a sleepless night.
