nels didnt want this, because he will have his portion of the testimony, and roux will have all night to prepare his cross....

As per the norm with every witness lately, he would ask for an adjournment anyways

  • #282
Von Stander helped him?

on pic 17.. he also marks a marker on the wall. marked G.. he can see the traces of the lead on the tile.. this bullet fractured itself, was in the process of fracturing..

photo 18 shows all three marks..

photo 19 shows all three marks.

photo 20 shows richochet mark.

pic 22 marked f.. a bullet hole..

23...is pic G..

to paragraph 12 of his report..

is his voice low to anyone else.. ?

height of the bullet holes from the toilet floor,

para 13. he uses a steel rod to track the bullets course..

how did you decide what size of rod to use?? I decided from the type of bullet.. the size that fits properly to the marks..

you can see this on pic 24 .

youhave measured the angle of the track of the bullet..

4 shots fired.. only one shot wasn't in the target body..

1 has perforated the door..

Non technical but he had to stuff something in the holes to measure them. Is this what Roux was getting at earlier, about the holes in the bedroom door.

3 bullets disappeared between door and wall of toilet, means they probably hit the person inside, so more difficult to determine trajectory.

I missed the angles then!

  • #285
Showing a pic, but I can't see any abc labels...

  • #286
he also used a lazer light for his measurements and angle deduction..

the lazer light in addition to the steel rods...

  • #287
So angles are determined by putting rods through holes? That's clever.

He also used a lazer/laser.

  • #288
Bullet hole D on door went to mark E on the wall.

  • #289
the lazer beam, goes thru the door, to the mark onto,, or in the toilet??missed it.

Yes, they're the bullet trajectory rods. I love them because they're impossible to argue.

ETA: never heard of lasers being used before, that's also clever. Seems to help with ricochets.

  • #291
Bullet hole B went to F??

Dunno.

He said bullet deflecteed and even light deflected.

Height of lazer 130cm from ground

  • #292
a downwards angle..

he ..ahah. he is a tall chap and the mic is still at Van Staden hieght, someone has fixed it,

  • #293
Distance of lazer from toilet door 220cms. think that means that is how far away from door OP must have stood.

  • #294
So OP 220cms away from door, firing at height of 130cm?

  • #295
Warrant Off Von S gave him orig photos to compare with what he found when he got there.

Mag rack was not there when he arrived.

He also used them to see where cartridges were found.

  • #296
pic 48.. a bullet fragment inside the toilet.

  • #297
Did Nel say 5 cartridges? Or did I mishear?

  • #298
The bullet fragments he saw were situated just under the mag rack in the photos.

  • #299
he also needs to know the position of the deceased...

he got a photo of her injuries sustained.. how the are positioned.. he has to line them up with the trajectory of the bullets.. also autopsy pics..

  • #300
as he describes her injuries, he places his hand on his right chest, his right hip almost unconsciously..
