Anyone else feel like the state is trying to run out the clock today?

Is anyone posting tweets? Is the trial still running?

I find something a little unlikeable about Det Stoddard. I can't put my finger on it though....

He seems disheveled and disinterested to me.
I was also blown away that he was guessing at what the pictures were of in the texts between RH and LH. How can he not know what they are? Does he not knows the details of the evidence?
I do not enjoy him.
If a movie is made of this case, Detective Stoddard will be Tom Hanks least endearing role.

I wonder if there is anyone in JRH's area who hasn't seen his manly bits!

I agree! He almost seems to be performing. I find him irritating.

He states "kid" again in another conversation about why he doesn't get divorced.

Stepping back from the video. I feel so uncomfortable listening to all these long conversations about sex.

  • #610
This is all completely irrelevant and just repetitive and tedious at this point.

I'm feeling the same way about RH's face covered, 'Oh, the things I've done, the things I've said to underage girls, for shame, for shame!' bit.
Blech.

LOL, I don't take your posts as being snarky at all :) Ok, I also believe you because you know the area, was there a hard right? To me when I watch Stoddard driving, I don't see anything that would be a hard right, is there a hard right in the video that he takes? I'm still listening to Stoddard and Boring.. Catching up. ;)

No, there is no hard right from CFA to Ross's office (unless the right out of CFA counts). Ross would have turned right out of CFA (looking left as minor4th stated), immediately gotten in the left lane for a U-turn (he would have been looking straight ahead), made a U-turn, and then proceeded straight to his office.

Did Stoddard just day "d*** pic?"

I mean...

I thought the exact same thing.

These currents texts are not good for Ross. He admits to having a sex addiction and staying only because of Cooper. "He's the glue that holds it all together."

That phrase from Boring has become like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. I'm almost at the point that I have to turn it off.

He seems to be saying it more frequently. I'm surprised he hasn't been told by his colleagues that it is a very annoying verbal tic, and imo, makes him sound lazy every time he says it.

If "things like that" are worthy of consideration, then please to enumerate each thing of the " like that," if its not too much trouble...

He has literally said it as part of almost every question since this trial has started.

Ok another thing that is completely foreign to me is that the attorneys refer to each other, the defendant, and the witnesses by their first names. We are not allowed to do that in court here. It's actually part of our court rules.

I totally agree. But I bet inside his head he is recalling every single photo!

I don't know if you watched the James Holmes trial. The defence kept calling him 'Jimmy'. The judge put a stop to that sharpish. It was totally innappropriate.

I did watch it and I thought that was inappropriate too.

Funny how we see things differently isn't it? When the judge rules to allow evidence, I think of justice for Cooper. If all of these coincidental searches, emails, texts, memes or whatever add up to motive - isn't it his (Cooper's) right to have them looked at by the jury?

Everyone wants to make this about Stoddard but I cannot forget Cooper is dead....forever! (Even if they do have "another baby".)

BTW - that comment reminds me of something I've heard from parents of a deceased child who are shocked and dismayed when those (hoping to console them) mention, "at least you have other children" which brings them zero comfort. Adding that to my list of weird comments by this couple.

I agree. If you are in charge of a child and the child dies under your care (purposely killed or not), you need to be investigated. Including me, if a child died in my hot car alone.

What if there is a really wicked person (think Scott Peterson) who baked a child to death on purpose and claims he just forgot about the child? I would not want LE to let him go scot-free.
