This just popped up on my fb,http:// https://m.facebook.com/GoFitStayFit/photos/a.519389661544291.1073741828.518134801669777/678549692294953/?type=3&source=54 seems appropriate
I had not realized just how tall RH is....my husband is not tall but still scoots my car seat way back when he is driving.....to me this puts RH even closer to Cooper...his SUV looks small so that is what I am going by....cramped space and his seat pushed back?!?! Sorry, this puts him even closer to Cooper than perhaps a shorter man/woman would be.
ETA the smell (I hate typing that) would be closer as well I would think in relation to the driver side car seat being further back...closer to little Cooper.
Frankly asking a jury to believe that he did not know he was there and was actually driving at various times of day not seeing Cooper is assuming that each juror is just simply dumb...I would be insulted to be expected to think he had no knowledge of him there. You might have some argument in a much larger car but not with RH's stature and the car seat position. If this jury gives him a pass on this I give up.
Do we know if he was using the Bluetooth feature in his car that morning while he was driving or was he actually texting? Did he listen to the radio? Just wondering if there is any possibility of not hearing Cooper based on these things.

This jury has several charges to consider. They only have to pick one or two or three. The only problem I see is if they can't all agree on one charge in the death of little Cooper. I hope after weeks of testimony they will find common ground.
The cars smallness and his largeness doesn't need jurors to sit in the car. They can see how close father and son were to each other. I forget the length of the car ride from CF to HD but only a couple of minutes.
Children sing, they talk and they make noises. As somebody pointed out in another post parents minds are on their children all the time. During that hot day he never thought of Cooper. Not once.
Sorry but I am not buying what this defendant is selling.
Actually one of 'the ladies' that testified said that Ross had some Bluetooth feature in his car and used it when they talked. She said he could hear her just fine so I'm convinced he heard Cooper sounds. That also ruled out his hearing loss in his right ear.
For some reason I thought there was no communication from Ross during that drive from CF to HD.
Why did she stay married to JRH for so long after Cooper died, and why did she wait until the eleventh hour before his trial to finally file for divorce? Hopefully these questions will be answered when LH takes the stand.
Ross Harris is a pudgy, dough boy.
He is not wealthy, and he is strapped with a wife and child.
What on earth made these 15 year olds and older go for him?
Seriously, one wanted to come over and preform fellato on him at 5:30 in the morning?
For the day?????
An admittedly married man with a two year old child?
I can see this building up his immature ego.
Ross was so into the possibilites with new sexual partners that he put EVERY thing at risk.
His marriage, his job, and his son's life.
For years, he'd been living a double life, of lies.
He was willing to lie to everyone, whilst he spent his days and night obsessing about future trysts.
In my opinion, Ross Harris is a very sick man.
I also think that he somehow partner upped with a very sick and weak woman.
Thus, the tragic death of little Cooper Harris.
This case is so disturbing to me.
The pretense of a happy loving Father and Husband, while the whole time he was committing tons of time looking for sexual hook ups with anyone.
15 YEAR olds included.
I really don't give a hoot about LeAnnes testimony.
I personally think that she has the IQ of a slug.
This is completely My take on the death of baby Cooper Harris.
May he rest in peace.
Sheez Loueez, I just watched the interview with RH and then him and Leanne together. She was a cold and calm as ever.
Sorry, I don't understand how anyone could not be wailing over the death of their baby so I don't understand this woman at all.
RH looked genuinely sad and remorseful to me. She didn't even stammer.
Creepy.
To me this sort of neglect is intentional. When you choose the things Ross did you are choosing actions which take away your ability to protect your child. Given his age Cooper was fully at the mercy of his father when in his care and instead of paying attention to his son and taking that responsibility seriously Ross chose another path and his son died a horrendous death. If Ross had chosen to exercise self control for just a few more minutes Cooper wouldn't be dead.
I can't help but wonder just how much people would wonder about intent if there had been a car crash because Ross was texting as he drove and Cooper died. Or if Ross hadn't properly fastened him in and he died in a crash? As far as I am concerned Ross's distraction weaponized his car as surely as it would have if he had killed Cooper while texting and driving.
Other scenarios come to mind like what if Ross got drunk or high while Cooper was with him and the baby fell down the stairs and died because his father was passed out on the couch? What if while in his care Cooper somehow gobbled up medicine left within reach that killed him?To me those hypothetical situations all have intent because a choice is being made and it is one that lowers the standard of care a child is recieving because on the most basic level the job of a parent is to keep their child alive. The ultimate consequence of a parent's failure to do so is in fact the death of their child.
I also sense Ross and LeAnn wouldn't give a damn about intent if a similar scenario played out except we replaced Ross with a babysitter. If a babysitter was hired to take Cooper somewhere and she got so distracted by flirting with men online that she let Cooper bake to death while at a mall I doubt there would be many voices calling it a terrible accident. She would probably lose what minimal support she had if we learned midway through her shopping and texting she took some of her purchases to the car and still didn't notice a now dead Cooper. No one would care how upset she may have looked when the police questioned her. The only reactions anyone would be thinking of would be Cooper's. Poor Cooper unaware that he is on a countdown to death when he realizes the car stopped. Poor Cooper in that moment where he thinks someone is going to get him out like always. Cooper wondering why he was left. Cooper starting to feel warm, then warmer, then so hot he is profusely sweating.Cooper starting to cry because in his world crying means mommy or daddy will come fix the problem. Cooper struggling in vain to free himself until the horrible inevitable conclusion of a fully avoidable situation.
No one would find anything remotely understanble about that situation at all because the babysitter shirked her duty to the child and that lead to fatal neglect. And in my world a parent has far more of a duty to protect their child than any other sort of hired caregiver hence I have no issue finding intent in this case nor do I question why the officers saw a crime not an accident. When a child dies like Cooper did it isn't a oopsie its a murder.
And on a final note I imagine myself as Ross and know that if I had to live with wondering about every horrible second my child spent in that car while I sexted I would never in a million years view my child's death as an accident. I would know I was murderer.
BBM. Imagine if that babysitter left Cooper in the car WHILE texting to her friends she hated being a babysitter as JRH did when he was texting to a strange woman about escaping his family only moments before leaving Cooper in the car.
Nobody would have a problem convicting the babysitter in a heartbeat.
JRH? Well he's an upper class man so of course he escapes responsibility for his behavior no matter how disgusting and terrible.
