TLM's story is consistent with a lot of the evidence they have. Whether or not she or Rafferty did the actual murder will never be known, she just can't be trusted to tell the complete truth. But between the video and the forensic evidence there should be enough to put away Rafferty for life.

I haven't even started reading today's thread yet - so this might have been mentioned already, but if not - I wanted to say this about TLM's shoes:
-> They may LOOK clean to the naked eye. BUT if they sprayed those shoes with a substance called luminol and then shone a black light over them, those same shoes might reveal all sorts of things!! The combination of luminol and a black light would show if they had blood or semen on them at some point.

-> Even if TLM were to have washed those runners in a washing machine, unless she used bleach or peroxide then any blood, streaks or spatters) would light up using black light and luminol. Semen would wash away - but blood would not, unless bleach or peroxide were used on them.

Incidentally, for those who might be interested, there is actually a kit one can purchase for their own personal use to detect blood and semen stains in say, hotels. Here is a link to that for those who are interested. I'm providing it so that you can see how a luminol test works - but I suppose you could buy and use for your own personal use as well.

The older I get, the less inclined I am to stay in a hotel AT ALL! Is that considered OCD?!

Good point about the blood not being visible to the naked eye, though.

OT: I could always stay at the Ritz, and have my own personal mattress flown in, as was done during the Toronto Film Festival this year, lol. :floorlaugh:

Well... in my professional opinion, if you truly had OCD, you'd probably have written it as "CDO" - because then the letters would be in correct alphabetical order. LOL :floorlaugh:

I imagine that when they get to actual evidence, they will probably introduce photos of things glowing under luminol etc....

Well right now we've got, I didn't kidnap her (TLM...on video). I didn't kill her (TLM...confession) and we know we're going to get I didn't rape her either (Although how if he doesn't take the stand is yet to be seen...reasonable doubt I guess).

So just what will we have on him then? I was just driving people around in my car while picking up drugs? :waitasec:

Oh well...I guess he has to take a chance on another 12 village idiots.

Well, they must have something, because this case was extremely unusual, in that the preliminary hearing was bypassed, which is very uncommon:

In June 2010, the Attorney General of Ontario proceeded with a direct indictment for Rafferty, bypassing a preliminary hearing, and sending him to trial on three counts.
