I wonder if they're going to try to perjur her on the stand and make her admit she was not the one who killed Tori but it was Rafferty and she took the fall for it to protect him?

Any other thoughts?

That is what I am thinking!!!! I wonder if that is why they had to have yesterday off to discuss if she did purger herself. Interesting.

She testified under oath, why does she have to review what she already said???? Wouldn't that be another charge?

That's what I think too. How does one 'spontaneously' savagely murder Tori by prepping the killing scene with garbage bags? That sounds like someone who didn't want to get dirty and took many steps to ensure this. After the initial shock and horror of her testimony and description of the scenario, I realize it doesn't make sense as a spontaneous killing. JMO

Maybe that's why her shoes were so clean?? Was her role in this diabolical horror story to kidnap Tori, get the supplies and tag along and wait for Rafferty to do the unspeakable?

The Homolka/Bernardo copy cats? Except Rafferty liked them young.....even younger than Tori. :furious:

Gowdey asks if she would like to look it over. McClintic says yes. "I recall it quite clearly but I could review it," she tells the court. McClintic leaves to do so and the jury is excused. Crown says the statement is about the killing of Tori Stafford

at this point I just think due to the "tweet" nature of the trial coverage we are just not witnessing all the long, boring sidebars and interruptions

Apparently, according to her, MR raped and kicked Tori and moved her body, all while he was naked from the waist down. That sounds like a savage caveman to me. JMO

I think the Crown knows the truth, imo. Yesterday was perhaps to discuss how the Crown would proceed with her testimony and thus allowing the defense to prepare for their client's defense.

At the end of the trial, it will then be up to the jury to decide if they believe her or not. Of course, there is no doubt in my mind, the Crown will have evidence to back up their claim that Rafferty is the one.

He buys her hair dye, takes his battery out of his cellphone, has extra clothes, gets her to go inside of the Home Depot where she would obviously be captured on film instead of him, washes his car inside and out and disposes of items (with her) and SHE is the one to cover Tori with garbage bags before killing her (and Tori was motionless, WHY was she motionless?). And she had access to the vehicle to get the hammer which I thought was in the trunk. Sorry, I don't believe it. Why was she so concerned with covering Tori with garbage bags first? That sounds like something HE would do to not get dirty. JMO

Why would she do that? A little late now. The first statement she gave, she implicated him as the murderer. She then told LE that MR sexually assaulted Tori. She should by then have been aware that no matter who actually killed her, they would both be legally charged with 1st degree murder. Changing her story would not benefit MR and she'd know this. There is no reason for her to lie a second time about who did the killing. Anyway, the Crown has obviously accepted her second story. It would be in her ASoF. The judge is making sure all the T-s are crossed and the I-s dotted.

If she "savagely murdered that little girl" in a rage, she wouldn't have put the garbage bags on her first. We're missing parts of this event. The crown needs to clarify more of the actual moments of the murder first.

I can remember sitting for long, boring chunks of time during the **will not say her name...** trial in Florida while witnesses read thru past statements before testimony...

I think this may be what is going on.....

Because she took the fall for him and it will be proven in court....it may not come from her (if she sticks to her story) but the evidence will prove she lied and Rafferty is the one.:moo:

We may be missing something, but I took that to indicate that TLM covered Tori's head with the bag as either (a) she had enough compassion to prevent the little girl from seeing what was coming, or (b) that she, herself, didn't want to see the expression on Tori's face. Third possibility is that she just wanted to minimize the blood spatter. Sickening!

And I don't see this as precluding TLM's rage. It would have taken mere seconds to cover her. :(

But she didn't take the fall for him initially. She told them that MR did the killing. Why change her story after she knows that it won't make any difference in his sentencing if he's convicted? All the Crown needs is proof that he was aware Tori had been abducted. As was said in the opening statements, it shouldn't matter who did what. There's no benefit for him to changing her story now.

How can they possibly prove who actually killed Tori? No hammer with fingerprints. Just TLM's word and no witnesses.

McClintic back on stand jury coming in

Jury is back after McClintic reviewed may 24 statement.

McClintic says she was the one who killed Tori.

Gowdey asks McClintic if she wants to change any portion of her testimony after seeing her statement.
