Lots of policework is trial and error: Brocanier and others saw a car leaving the area in one video, tracked it down and ruled it out

Other people walking/driving in the area were interviewed about Tori shortly after she went missing.

They also saw someone getting into and driving away in a van. Turned out to be a teacher from College Avenue Secondary School.

Of course he is, his whole defense will be based on the fact that TLM was seen with Tori and not him.

Were there reported sightings? I don't remember.

Not that I know of, but, if LE is stating that is the last time she was seen "alive", then, I would presume that is it.

Unless she was seen in the car after the abduction from the school, but it could not be determined if she was alive or not. This is a pretty specific statement, is all I was getting at.

If MR had planned this, wouldn't it make sense that he would have made sure before hand that he had gas in his car? Same with stopping at the ATM and Home Depot... why would he not be prepared for what he was about to do? Why take the chance of stopping anywhere with Tori in the car - when every stop would increase the chance of being caught? Just inept? Or was he not prepared because it was not his plan? Or maybe running the risk added to the 'excitement'?

Just catching up this morning, I have a feeling they are going to say it was a rape/abduction and the killing was TLM and not MR. But not sure where that is gonna change the outcome.

Are they saying then, that there is no video of MR with Tori? No witnesses to directly say that MR was with Tori? Is their case against him circumstantial and if so, will it be as effective as direct witnesses / video would be in helping to gain a conviction?

BBM: I believe so.

Well, no other witnesses besides TLM.

Now, he just has to explain at which point he extracted himself from the situation, how his blood got mixed with Tori's, how her blood came to be on his car, why he was in Mount Forest checking his voicemail in the vicinity of where Victoria's remains were found, and all the other known and unknown evidence including DNA, video, messages and behaviour.
