RaffertyLFP: Doupe was called in on the Stafford investigation in May 2009 examining hair for DNA and carpet fibres

Doupe joined the case in May 2009. Looking for hairs suitable for DNA analysis, as well as carpet fibers.

Doupe examined fibers from Rafferty's Honda Civic, the blue knife found in his home and the pea coat located in his closet.

Carnegie says there's a slide show to accompany the testimony. First slide shows back passenger side of Rafferty's car.

It's a small piece of grey material. Crown lawyer Michael Carnegie shows it to the jury.

I remember seeing a photo of stuff in Rafferty's car and there was a bag with a lint roller in it. I wonder if that will be evidence too? JMO

Doupe also examined a knife found in #Rafferty's house and fabric in his car.

Doupe tells the court she screened the black peacoat found in #Rafferty's closet for fibres.

RaffertyLFP: Doupe was provided with fabric from another 2003 Honda Civic so she could do a comparison

Doupe was able to determine the material was from the back seat of a Honda Civic. Police bought a separate back seat to compare.
