Well I'm no forensic expert but if someone had touched the door moudling I think the patter of the bloodstain would have been more smudged whilst in this case it was a drop, so either it was splatter from the hammer or it was when Tori went to piddle.

I'm not convinced yet that it is the knife in question. Usually when you break something that you like to use, you go and buy a replacement. So IMO, there may have been another blue knife that replaced the broken one and has now gone the way of the car seat.

It looks like the type of knife with "replacement blades" so the handle looks worn and maybe since he discarded the blade he felt it would be ok to keep the knife. They still might have found something on the knife though since specimens and fibres can be caught up in all the crevices of the knife.

The blood sample on the door moulding, according to tweets posted on pages 9 and 10 of this thread (I'll get links in just a bit) indicate that the blood was Tori's and it was mixed with "sperm cells" but the cell sample was too small to positively identify anyone.

Hope that helps. From the info, it appears there is a solid blood sample, mixed with sperm cells.

With apologies and an admitted reference away from the case at hand I admit I am still pissed.(CA) Sorry Mods - wrong forum I know but jeez pleez dont let this case go south like the other one.

For me the fact that Tori's DNA was found mixed with MR's and that a blood spot which matched Tori's DNA contained what we believe to be semen (even if it can be confirmed who it belonged too) seals the deal for me. Something untoward without a doubt happened in that car and he was definitely a major player in the game. TLM's version seems to be being backed up by evidence that has been presented.

I wonder which route Derstine will take when it is their turn to present?
