Why would sperm, MR's or some other unknown male's, be on the moulding of the door and randomly layer itself over such a tiny speck of Tori's blood (assuming layering of cell types is what the defense is indicating)? First of all, the door would have to be open for BOTH those cell types to mingle randomly. I think MR or Tori had touched the side of the OPEN rear passenger door and the cells mixed, blood and sperm. This DNA proves the rear back door was open to have this happen, as described by TLM and also indicates a rape. Sperm, with usable DNA or not, is sperm. It comes from a male and is a sex cell, the male gamete. I suppose it will be explained that Rafferty had lots of sex in the back of his car after Tori was murdered, even without a back seat present (ouch, pretty uncomfortable) and he touched the back of the open door frame with his messy hands.

How many times did he clean the car out after Tori died? I know his car was messy but maybe he shampooed a few times in there. Maybe he got one of his many girlfriends to help? JMO

Didn't the last one today testify she held a flashlight for him while working in the backseat, something to do with a stereo? MR was quite the planner at trying to cover up. Decided installing a stereo would be a good excuse for getting rid of a blood and semen stained back seat, how convenient. Funny how LE never found a stereo system in his trunk, just a speaker, or at his mom's home. Don't you think someone who is going to go through all the trouble of ripping their car apart would have purchased a system to know whether it's possible it will fit in their ricer. Is that what these mod cars are called? :waitasec::floorlaugh:

I'am pretty sure TM had a POF account, she had pic of TS and DS in it with her.

I meant that he might have been targeting women with children so he could date them and have access to the kids. I don't think he dated or even tried to date Tara.

OMG. I kept waiting for the signifcance of the sanding discs etc.

So many details, did I miss the tweets/articles on this?

I get it now.

Rafferty did his odd little white paint job on (possibly) the entire inside of the car, (possibly) prior to the abduction.

HE ONLY SANDED THE WHITE PAINT off the REAR PASSENGER DOOR.

Look at the pic, you can see it, only on the rear passenger door.

(Sorry if this is a repeat).

Yes, the mystery woman who works with children.

Any decent investigator will tell you there is no such thing as a coincidence when it comes to an investigation.
VS dna found mixed with MR's DNA on gym bag= coincidence? I think not.
Sperm found mixed with VS blood = coincidence? I think not.
MR throws out back seat of car coincidently just after VS murder? I think not.
There is a "cut" piece of material in MR car? coincidence? I think not.
Hair dye TLM claims MR bought her found at her place and receipt found at his house? coincidence? I think not.

IMHO maybe one "coincidence" can be explained away, however I just listed 5 off the top of my head and I imagine others could add many more off the top of theirs. While honing my critical thinking skills I have come to the conclusion that there is just to much that adds up to exactly what TLM has testified to. We are all entitled to our own opinions however I do not believe that the crown has not proven anything, because I believe an unbiased person truly paying attention to this story will see the patterns, the "coincidences" and the logical sequencing of events that IMO lead to the logical conclusion of MR's guilt. MOO.
Also I wanted to comment on something that was mentioned a few threads ago. Someone showed a tweet in which a reporter said that it is against the law to interview jurors (or for them to provide an interview) after a case. I totally agree with this as I believe this law, maintains and upholds the integrity/dignity of a trial. I believe that this will eliminate a person whose goal may be to sell their story; to the highest bidder once a verdict has been reached. Also stories would be worth more if there was a shocking outcome to the case (a la Anthony case). IMOO

I meant that he might have been targeting women with children so he could date them and have access to the kids. I don't think he dated or even tried to date Tara.

Was just trying to point out that he could have seen the pic of Tori, gathered info from Tara's profile page.
Think he also hung out at Good Time Charlies as well.
Rather then trying to date Tara just waited for an opportunity to grab Tori, maybe carry out a fantasy or two.
Jmo I know he never dated Tara.....

On Wednesday, McLean testified DNA evidence put Tori in Rafferty's car.
You can't tell us . . . whether or not, in fact, they (Rafferty and Tori) were in the car together at the same time?" Derstine asked.
" . . . if I find DNA from two individuals on one item, it doesn't necessarily mean it was deposited at the same time," McLean agreed.
"For all your skill and science, you cannot say how it is that various different DNA deposits came to be deposited in a different area?" Derstine also asked.
"That is correct," she said.

He also expressed sadness for the girl, who had a court hearing but wasn't released, because "he felt she had been making great strides in her life," a curious way, surely, to characterize someone he knew purportedly had just killed an innocent child.

Exactly. If he was so horrified why was he referring to TLM in such a way? She had just killed Tori with a hammer remember. BS. JMO

and if he was so horrified as the defence would have us believe, well it sure didn't impact on his blind dating. Would he have not according to the defense been afraid he might meet another whackjob? IMO. :twocents:

If anything, what happened to Tori made him hungrier for sex. JMO

Without knowing all the details regarding the publication ban on MTR's 37 year old GF #1 (post-murder), and her "helping profession", I fail to see why she should be afforded anonymity, and not all those other poor women.

Why is their privacy deemed less worthy?

All of them should have had their identity protected.
JMO

Maybe she requested to have her name withheld and the others didn't? Maybe she knew if she asked, they would accommodate her in order to get her testimony. Maybe if the others knew that they could have asked, they would have, kwim? I'm sure they would have liked to keep their names out of the media and this trial. And maybe the Crown didn't automatically offer because it means extra paperwork, time and money? I'm guessing here - I really have no idea. But one article did seem to indicate that she asked to have her name withheld.

If, however, Rafferty was a deeply shocked witness to a disturbing crime, he appears to have recovered his equilibrium rapidly.

Within four days of the little girl's death, Rafferty was starting a relationship with a 37-year-old woman and two days after that, with another woman, then 28.

The first woman, whose identity is protected by a publication ban, works in what can loosely be described as a helping profession.

Two days after he first hooked up with that woman, Rafferty also began a relationship with Sarah Hodge, a child and youth worker. They also connected on the Plenty of Fish site, and almost from April 14 on, she said, they saw one another every day for the next two weeks.

She too noticed there was no back seat in his car, and saw him take OxyContin, the pills either kept in tin foil or in an unlabelled bottle.

He took them, Hodge told Ontario Superior Court Judge Thomas Heeney and the jurors, because "he thought he had colon cancer."

Yes, the mystery woman who works with children.

The lady who works with children is Sarah hodge, all that was said about the mystery women is that her profession can be loosely described as helping people.

But why would the courts deem one person's profession more important than another?

Why not protect all the witnesses names in this sordid case, kwim?

was it not said one of the women was a youth worker?:moo: Perhaps this case would draw attention to her in the workplace and put her at risk. JMO

so the seat was removed the end of March and then thrown out with the general pickup in the area mid April...scratch another from TLM statement about cutting out parts of a back seat and thus the reason TS had to sit on the floor...wonder when we will find out the "car wash" was a figment of her imagination...I still believe he was there at the scene but his role is what I am having difficulty in trying to figure out... I also don't think he was "dating" TLM..more likely using her to obtain drugs... as they say..."hell has no fury"...:moo:

The seat was supposedly removed at the end of March, and then thrown to the curb mid April. Who knows, maybe MR put the seat back into the car inbetween these times. TLM stated that VS was told to sit on the floor and be covered with MR's coat while in Woodstock and on the 401 incase truckers could see inside the car. TLM stated that once they left Guelph on Hwy6 she was allowed to sit on the SEAT.

Also if the seat at the curb had a couch ontop of it, how could they tell for sure if there were rips or pieces cut out????
