Carnegie shows Youngs documents in relation to Rafferty's PIN number.

RIM preserves the records, police ask for the records, but must have a judicial production order.

Just a thought. Maybe he pulled the battery until he got to the Guelph area (is that right?) so that his cell couldn't place him in the area Tori was kidnapped. Maybe he thought he could claim he had been in Guelph the whole afternoon, figuring nobody would ever find her anyway.

If MR took out the battery so he couldn't be tracked, as per TLM's statement, why would he put it back in when he got to Guelph?

My theory is because he is a drug addict and getting the drugs was much more important at that moment, then being tracked. JMO but this guy appeared to do an awful lot of drugs.

Between April 8th and May 19th, Rafferty used one blackberry. Separate log for the blackberry he only used on may 19th before being arrested

Right, cuz the phone will always pick up the strongest signal. I have had to deal with billing where for example in St-Catherines, user's bill would show they were making calls from the states but they were actually in canada, the phone will pick up the strongest tower in the area, so in their case the strongest signal was coming from a tower in the states which is very close. Same for niagara falls, windsor, sarnia, etc

There is no logic to that, IMO

As for the phone calls..........they do correspond to TLM's testimony, but I don't think the defense is going to argue any of that testimony.

I think the divergence of the facts between the Crown and defense is:

Did MR know why VS was in the car?

Did MR sexually assault VS?

And did MR murder VS? We already know that TLM killed VS, so the Crown is alleging this charge indirectly.

If this be the case, the phone records don't help or hurt the defense theory........Yet.............IMO.

Maybe he figured all he had to worry about was his phone not putting him at the scene of the abduction. I think we've all figured out he's no rocket scientist.

...or maybe he is.

It was a data transmission, so it is possible that either TLM or MR gave the phone to VS to play a game on the internet to appease her and stop her from asking questions. There is logic in everything I think you just need to look for it.

I fear giving a child a phone to play with would negate his supposed efforts of evading his location identity? JMO
