The jury is entering the courtroom.

Derstine asks Wilton about n different document, where it shows the BBM PINs in chronological order.

RaffertyLFP: Wilton coments on list of Rafferty's MSN messages which indicates that some messages around 6:35 pm got held up and almost same time

Now I'm confused again: This is saying the phone had activity at 4:18 pm and 5:03 pm.

Rafferty made a voice call at Woodstock at 11:37AM on April 8th, 2009. Further illustrations show Rafferty's cellular activity in Guelph at and 4:18PM and 5:03PM. Another data call was made about 7:45PM that came from a cell tower east of Fergus, and yet another one at 8:05PM near the town of Arthur...the same day that Tori disappeared, the in same geographic area Tori was (eventually) found."

TLM testified that he turned the phone back on at the Timmies when they stopped for tea. So that would have been the 4:18 activity.

Either way it is extremely damning.

just wonder why you would think this is damning..I guess I am just not seeing it that way. JMO

I cannot afford either type of phone mentioned. I was not aware of their features. It is good information for someone in my shoes.

...and I thought I was the only one left in the world without a cell phone. Nice to see there are two of us, lol.

Those two dozen messages were BBMs ... the IM Blackberry system. You need to give someone your PIN in order for them to contact you via BBM ... and contacts are verily easily removed so that should you change your mind and not want to receive messages from a certain person they will be unable to contact you via BBM.

So BBM is not stalking by any means - it is between users who have agreed to be on each other`s contact list.

As for Facebook, it works substantially the same way. MR would have to be friends with AL (meaning that she accepted his Friendship Request) before he could spend 20 minutes reviewing her Facebook. Again, if she had a problem with him looking at her FB it takes two seconds to deny him access. Hence, not stalking.

JMO

Doesn't it also depend on someone's privacy settings. Some areas of a person's FB are visible without having to be their friend.

Please correct if I am wrong here.

Four messages were delayed in getting to Rafferty's blackberry. Derstine suggests they should arrive within ten seconds.

No.... you can check TLM`s testimony, but I believe he called BA twice when they first arrived at her house to let her know he was there and to find out what time she would be home to meet him.

I think the MSN messages from above tweets are supposed to be BBM messages. JMO

Her Mother had an Iphone, they're very different from Blackberrys. Blackberrys have qwerty keyboards and are more difficult to use for someone who doesn't have one.
We don't know for sure what phone TM had at the time of the kidnapping. Later on, when she went to Toronto in the limo to meet the supposed benefactor, she had an iPhone and there were snide remarks made about this expensive new toy. Anyway, I can't believe the kidnappers would give Tori a cellphone to play with, for fear she might dial 911. I doubt an 8-year-old would be Blackberry-savvy unless they owned one, but dialing 911 is easy.

  • One message took an hour and 10 minutes to get to Rafferty's phone. It could have been delayed for many reasons, including phone being off

Rafferty was messaging with a woman named Charity S on April 8th. More than 2 dozen messages. That sure appears to be desperate messaging...or obsessive stalking like behavior. jmo

He sure took his time looking on Lane's profile

perhaps that is what he did, studied them & gathered information...

Lamber Royakkers descibes Stalking: is a form of mental assault, in which the perpetrator repeatedly, unwantedly, and disruptively breaks into the life-world of the victim, with whom they have no relationship (or no longer have). Moreover, the separated acts that make up the intrusion cannot by themselves cause the mental abuse, but do taken together (cumulative effect)."

Did it say what time these calls were made?????

No more questions for Wilton.

RaffertyLFP: Derstine suggest there was disruption in Rafferty's Blackberry around 16:35 on April 8th with various possible explanations

The jury has been excused for the day, while lawyers deal with a legal issue. They'll be back tomorrow at 10.

You are correct ... without access all you can see is their main page - not too much information there - possibly photos of some of their contacts - but you cannot see their `wall`where friends post, or updates or their private photos etc. It would take less than a minute to look at the main page and digest its content.

I have edited my post as I meant to say 4:18 activity not call.

Is MR"s laptop included in this chapter? I'm sure he probably had it wiped too but it will be interesting to see what they found. Or didn't find. Moo

For someone who is constantly on his phone to be off of it for that long.

...while he has been placed in the vicinity of a girl he has been accused of murdering.

...with that girl's blood in his car.

...with a witness to put him there.

I'm so tired and my brain is fried, so someone else can add to the list.

Let me try a different scenario of what could have happened.

*TLM had MR drive her to HD with a girl she was babysitting (who decided to play hide and seek in the back seat) so she could buy some supplies for them to build a treehouse. MR was too tired from his construction job all morning, plus he had to teach a dance class in the evening and cater a party at night so he decided to let TLM borrow his car. TLM drove up to Mt Forrest and...well you know.

**italics are a crock

lol @ the tea! Is Derstine trying to say here that the phone wasn't off but it the messages were just delayed? Looks like it. Who's Charity S? Have we seen her name before?
