I am thinking the judge is not happy with the defense right now.

Not at all. Why in the world did they let THAT recorded testimony into this trial? To later call "foul" seems like bait and switch. JMO since I'm not an attorney and don't pretend to be one on the internet.

Judge doesn't want to potentially open door to more problems, in regards to playing next audio recording. Defense has break to look over it.
