"There was no need to drive so far from home," Gowdey says. Unless you want to take her "where no one will hear her screams".

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey says it was three hour trip to Mt Forest - why drive so far? - an area that Rafferty knew "No one will hear her (Tori's) screams

TLM was a great partner who could be trusted. How many other people can you find to go along with your plan to abduct and rape a child? TLM wasn't the brightest crayon in the box and was very easily manipulated. MR manipulated TLM with his "little bit of love". Remember the jail house visits and the motel videos? It was obvious she had the goo-goo eyes for MR.

Yea........but for how long?

Until the next week or month.........when he dumped her?

LindaNguyenPN Crown Kevin Gowdey now taking jury back to evidence from the Mt Forest murder scene , where #toristafford was found #Rafferty

"Where no one will find her body".

Showing photos from the crime scene.

The rock pile was 300 meters from the road. But not visible from the road.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey take jury down lane where Tori killed 300 metre off main road Why would McClintic want to go up there?

  • #266
RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said if McClintic was so familiar with area why could she not find it again afterward?

Gowdey says driving up the lane was "awfully bold". How did they know a house wasn't up there?

If McClintic was directing him, why would he go up there? How did she find it?

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said the crime scene was carefully chosen and only Rafferty familiar with area

Crown: If this was a drug debt if this why drive so far? No need unless you're going to an area that's a final resting place

If they hadn't got caught, I think he would have kept her as long as he needed to.

"It was an awfully bold move to drive up [the Mount Forest laneway] if you’d never been there before." Could have been a house.

Gowdey reads McClintic's description of scene as a matching photo slideshow plays for jury

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said Tori's body was so well hidden that it never would have been found "You are in a place where you could do what you want"

How, if McClintic knew the scene, could she not lead police back?

The body was so well hidden, it may never have been found. Scene is "private" you can "do what you want".

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said Rafferty chose area around Guelph because it was so far from Woodstock "getting far out of town was best plan"

Derstine glossed over Rafferty was connected to the area yesterday, but Gowdey says rural areas near Woodstock would have been searched...

...and Rafferty would have known that. Why not go to an area Rafferty was familiar with?

  • #276
AM980_Court If Rafferty didn't know, why pop the trunk without prompting? He didn't want Tori to see.

MR drove the car up to the store, where TLM was coming out with a bag.

Of course he popped the trunk..............

Sheesh............the Crown is really looking desperate with some of this stuff.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said there was no evidence that Tori was take to settle a "drug debt"

Derstine suggested McClintic directed Rafferty to the area, but she likely didn't know it was there.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey reject defense suggestion that Rafferty left the crime scene and was horrified to come back and find Tori dead

Crown says site was picked because #Rafferty knew area, far from Woodstock where people would look for Tori

To me it's like trying to testify without getting up on the stand. It should not be allowed. Although I don't know that a contempt charge would scare the defendent right now.

MOO

It's okay. It makes him look the guilty sub-standard being that he is. He should be scared and grovelling, not sneering. The worst part of it is, that sneer is likely the last thing little Tori seen before her vicious death. :(

Rolling your eyes at the Crown, Rafferty? You can keep right on rolling them behind the bars.

Your condescending attitude won't work in our Canadian Court of Law.

Unfortunately, they've seen your type before.
