Trinity Poague, Reigning Miss Donalsonville (GA) Facing Murder Charges in the Death of a Young Child - 19 Jan 2024

It seems awkward that the lead prosecutor admitted that Dr. Bussman, the doctor who treated the baby in the ER, is also his (the prosecutor's) own personal doctor.
Small town, small population.
IMO.

Maybe the prosecutor wanted to put it out there before the defense tried to spin Dr. Bussman’s testimony as unreliable due to bias?

Earlier in the day, the judge asked the defense when they thought they'd be done presenting their side of the case. The defense attorney said probably end of the day Friday as he had numerous witnesses.

Today, the defense began their case and brought on a few witnesses for Trinity (a woman she baby sat for, a couple of college friends) and then the defense asked for a 15 minute break "to discuss a few things". When they came back from the break, the defense attorney said they've decided to rest their case. Trinity is crying.

I'm honestly not surprised that the defense has rested already. They really had nothing, unless Trinity took the stand. The witnesses they did call were more like character witnesses, from what I saw.
She's been crying since they got back from lunch.
IMO.

I expected they would bring on some expert witnesses to try to dispute the autopsy report or talk about how the injuries could have been old, caused by CPR, etc. Maybe those are the types of witnesses they had lined up for the rest of the day today and tomorrow. But then they decided to just be done instead. I wonder if they felt this was a losing battle.

I missed that...

I was expecting something more. I'm kinda surprised they rested so soon.

Prosecution said they couldn't find the baby's mother but interesting that the Daily Mail did!
Right, I am curious as to who the babies body was released to. Shouldn't it have been the mother. Did anyone speak to her then, I wonder.

This trial wasn’t what I expected at all, honestly I thought there would be much more testimony from expert witnesses on both sides.

I think she lost her shite that day, what happened was definitely not from an accidental fall. Trinity Poague is not a victim!!!
