I always wonder if they think they're going to hell when they die.

I mean, I know many murderers probably don't believe in hell, but I feel certain that many do.

So for those who really do, how can they live with that?? Maybe they think an exception will be made for them somehow, would go along with the entitled thinking we so often see in murderers.

Because you asked ... no one is beyond redemption. Salvation/Eternal Life is a free gift which cannot be earned. God will forgive anyone who chooses to truly repent and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Oh yes, I guess I forgot about that "out" available to all who sincerely repent. I'm obviously not a believer. But maybe that's how they do it. If they truly believe in hell, then they should also truly believe that what you said is true, so that would help them.

i think this is mainly a catholic thing? but i’m also a non believer so im not sure.

for my money, i think a killer such as BTK who seems to believe, I think they are either arrogant enough to see themselves as “special” and therefore not held to the same standards or are flippant enough about human life that they don’t think of their murders as terribly more significant than killing an animal or a bug. They may think, “Well, sure on 5 occasions i killed someone, but I was ‘mostly good’ on most days… isn't that enough?”
