Depression is the top cause of murder-suicide.
That's why I don't find it odd at all that she killed the dog before herself.

Horribly sad, yes. But odd, not so much.

I know that depression often strips you of your rational thinking skills.

There are a lot of unanswered questions. It's still being investigated.

I just have seen nothing that says to me that she definitely killed him. So I will wait.

I can't judge and convict this woman without the facts.

I think it's just as possible that she didn't kill him. That she killed herself because she didn't want to live without him.

As of right now, I see them both as victims of deep depression and/or addiction. I will respect their memory until/if I know for sure otherwise.

BBM I had a fiance that died suddenly and you can bet yer butt I no longer wanted to be here and I didn't have any of the overwhelming issues she had. Plus she was being attacked from all angles over his death and what happened, people bringing up her past, they took her kids, etc. She had a rough life and she was just done, exhausted, depleted and unable to face another day alone with the world against her. I totally get it.

It is a sad ending to a tumultuous life. She was beautiful and talented and I hope the world can remember her that way. She has 2 little boys that she loved and who loved her ,who will one day grow up and maybe read our words. I have nothing but empathy for her, no matter what happened.

Rest in peace Mindy, your earthly battles are over.

As a sleuther, why was Mindy quick (or not) to say the bullet casing was found in the dogs mouth? Does anyone else find that odd? Did the doggie come up and show her/or someone else that he was carrying a bullet casing?

Bullet casings are small. A dog (and I admit I don't know the size of the dog) would either chew it and swallow it, or spit it out.

What dog brings back a bullet casing back like it's a tennis ball or bone? Unless someone went out searching for the dog, and searched its mouth, I find this very hard to believe.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

McCready said the bullet that killed Wilson “was in the [family] dog’s mouth,” which is why it wasn’t collected by authorities until a day after the shooting.

“I didn’t find it — the dog did … I mean, that’s a horrific thing to say, but it was in the dog’s mouth.”

Cleburne County Sheriff’s Department officials said that the record producer’s death currently remains under investigation, and that forensic tests will soon reveal to investigators whether it was a suicide or murder. McCready has not been named a suspect in his death.

But when she was being interviewed on TV she said the dog had the bullet in his mouth from her boyfriends suicide.

I'm assuming the same dog she killed before her suicide.

So heartbreaking on so many levels...if it's even true (yes, I am jaded). If it's ture, she left a legacy, so to speak, IYKWIM. "Call the number, seek help"..

No one can convince me that a normally loving person could kill an animal due to mental illness or drugs.A truly loving person (even one in pain and or drugs) could commit that act if it was against their personal code of ethics.
Think about it....this woman is already seen as suspect in the death of her boyfriend.

Not making excuses for Mindy, because IDK, but maybe her view of the world was so harsh, that she thought the dog would be better off dead. Or maybe she thought she, David and the dog would be together again. Or maybe she was simply scared to go alone? IDK, but depression isn't just about being sad. Sometimes a depressed person hates himself so much that he lashes out at the ones who love him in an attempt to make them hate him too. Sometimes depression is about total self destruction. Her killing the dog is sad, but I don't think she killed him out of meanness. I think in her irrational mind, she had what she thought was a 'rational' reason. IMO, it looks like she was 'preparing' to be with David again, moo

I agree with the people who are saying,she should have left the dog alone.It could have been a huge comfort to her oldest son.I can't imagine telling your 6 yrs old that mommy is in heaven and so is the dog
just heartbreaking all around!!
