Don't know who this guy is but he said things 10 years ago that someone is weaponizing today. He stated it wasn't as bad as violent assault? He felt bad for ugly women? And he said "I am not defending underage marriage at all," Carlson said in a clip from 2009. "I just don't think it's the same thing exactly as pulling a child from a bus stop and sexually assaulting that child." Didn't see his comment of "Endorsing" or "Saying it was good/great". What I did see in the article is comments from verified Celeb activists conflating his comments with his daughters? SMH

Wow. That's shockingly horrible. I see a tweet referenced in the above article which bears repeating here: "Does defending child rape violate a moral turpitude clause in a person's contract?" I would hope the answer is yes and that TC is fired immediately. I doubt he will -- this will probably only boost his ratings somehow.

Oh no, I wrongly assumed this was an issue we could all agree on.

No one said his comments were "endorsing" child rape or "saying it was good/great." Not sure where you got that? Straw man.

He was certainly defending a child rapist: "Carlson said the real reason Jeffs was in prison was 'because he's weird and unpopular and he has a different lifestyle that other people find creepy.' He said that if he made the laws, Jeffs would go free..."

I think you are misinterpreting my post. I am NOT defending him in the slightest. Quite the opposite!! Please edit your post so people reading this do not get confused. I was responding to Shin's post above which DOES attempt to mitigate Tucker Carlson's words. I am saying that Tucker Carlson was indeed DEFENDING a sick pedophile and using that quotation of TC's that he would release Jeffs from prison to support my argument. I hope that is crystal clear!

To be clear again, I am NOT defending Tucker Carlson or Jeffs! I am disagreeing with Shin's post and I am stating that Carlson was defending Jeffs and that is terrible!

Oh no. I did not mean that. I was adding to your comment on someone who was!

I got that from Tucker Carlson refuses to apologize amid uproar over his comments defending child rape

Yes, and that's why I said he certainly was defending the child rapist when TC said he'd set Jeffs free if he had his way. Defending someone is different from endorsing someone or saying someone is great. Hence the straw man fallacy.

He literally said if he made the laws it would be legal to participate in the forced marriage and rape of children.

I remember Samantha B almost getting cancelled for saying feckless C, but Tucker says he supports child rapist, that he thinks pervly about his 14 year old daughters friends and then goes on not only to call women the C word but demeans them over and over and over

Im sorry, I cant support this, I dont know how you can

I thought we were discussing civily the merits of this issue and the title of this thread.

Agreed, Jeffs did destroy the lives of ALL these girls and looking into it further the politicians and celebrities that took part should equally pay

As stated in the article :In another clip from that 2009 interview, Carlson incorrectly said Jeffs "didn't marry underaged girls" (he would be convicted in 2011 of marrying and sexually assaulting two girls ages 12 and 15). So I took it as his belief he thought he didn't marry them or have relationships and was comparing that to abducting and raping. So he was misinformed on the information of what later turned into a conviction. I agree he was DEFENDING or Deflecting a sick pedophile, he should have said, they are all scum.. lock them all away.

*Now let me be clear on this matter as I see the tone has switched from the topic at hand, to outrage. Just like Kevin Hart, Terry Crews, Sarah Silverman, Smollet believers etc say things in the past that are incorrect. They have a choice to set the recorded straight or not. In this matter, I found he thought erroneously that this guy in 2009 either was having a neverland ranch scenerio or comparing other crimes as more heinous while still maintaining he is not defending underage marriage at all.

When I read the "why" this article was posted, what his response is, and the reaction on this form.. the reaction, like in most media, got the desired response. I don't care about Tucker Carlson, I care about the safety of kids that is why I am on the forum. Just like people bashing Smollet followers, I get it.. byut to associate them as being a bigot towards whites, we have to look at other track records. So I looked up other case of TC defending molesters, pedophiles, or blogs of his.. didn't find anything. A guy who thought wrongly about a guy 2 years before conviction should apologize.. does he have to.. no, does he believe underage marriage is good, no.. So finally to all on here that I respect alot... I am just responding to the title of this thread: Tucker Carlson refuses to apologize amid uproar over his comments defending child rape

Not the thread: Tucker Carlson refuses to apologize amid uproar over his comments defending convicted rapist..

Then, I would agree with you.

TC wanted people to know his views of child marriage and child rape. He wanted people to know how he felt about his daughters 14 year old friends. He wanted the world to know the names he calls women, and how he feels about the entire gender.

If he didnt, he wouldnt have said them on a record radio show that is broadcasted to the public.

Remember this wasn't a hack, they didnt break into his privacy. He said them because he believes it, advocates it and wanted the public to hear.
