Was the unacceptable proposal something illegal or sexual in nature?

If they know she went to a bar, and then later to the suspect's house, and that the suspect made an unacceptable proposal- in that level of detail, then they know who killed her, right?

No details whether it was illegal or sexual. Actually, if they think the murderer is such a psycho watching the investigation in the crime scene from a distance, I don't think they would share this much info with the media.

So really, the lady who said she saw the man carrying a body near the wall could be telling the truth?! After the police deny she was moved? I'm beginning to think LE is telling stories hoping one will be true.

... Or hoping to make the perp think they're as clueless as I'm beginning to think they are. :)

Unless this info, like everything else they've shared, is patently false. LOL.

I don't know why I just feel someone must have had a reason to kill her, drugs, love, money, denial.....

I'd be extremely extremely surprised if this was truly a random attack.

wow I needed a break from this. Thinking about the funeral, her husband breaking the news to those poor poor children man that's tough. Those poor children will not be able to see their mother for one last time at the funeral..so so sad. I thought about Ammer too for some reason, his life will change some because of this. He really does seem like a cool and innocent guy...imagine how he's feeling having just spent some days with her, showing SS Amsterdam, getting to know her, laughing together. crazy.

Ok, back on track,

ThinkHard I feel the same way. This was a brutal murder, not a robbery...it was personal.

Does that mean "a baby"?

By the time this case is resolved, I think I will have learned some Turkish. :)

Yes Bebek means baby, it is also the name of an upper class area in Istanbul along the Bosphorous ... (It's Starbucks has the best view of any Starbucks in the world :))

You're wrong, plain and simple.

A quick google of the hundreds of travel blogs for solo female travelers (plenty hosted by young mothers who travel alone) will tell you as much. If you don't want to believe it that's fine, but continuing to post incorrect information doesn't help a thing.

The evidence doesn't fit the way you want the world to be, I get that, but the world remains real despite your own preferences.

Solo female travelers are common. There are blogs, published books, facebook groups and websites that are all in agreement with this.

Simple fact.

It's cool. Carry on.:)

Did he? Sorry I might have missed. He keeps saying "duygusal iliski yok"?

Nothing emotional does NOT mean nothing sexual.... Hmmm

That's how I took it. If nothing sexual happened the attorney (IMO) would have made that clear from the beginning. None of this ambiguous crap. Just out with it. Everyone knows how possible it is for two consenting adults to get down without any emotional attachment.

The police has a list of 40 people who could be a possible suspect. According to the strongest scenario of the police that's exactly the intention of the murderer. The police thinks that Sarai is killed somewhere else.
The murderer has met Sarai around the Eminonu area where she was shooting photos. After that they went to a bar and to the murderer's house. He made her an unacceptable proposal. They started arguing, then fighting. He hit her with a hard substance and she died.
Then he took her to the Cankurtaran walls thinking that it's the best place for his disguise since a lot of junkies, homeless and immigrants live there. It was his intention to overreach the police since he knew all of those people mentioned above (the junkies etc) would have their DNA's on her and while the police will be busy finding out and investigating the 40 possible suspects, he would gain time and even watch the investigations in the walls from a distance. The blanket he covered over her is probably from a homeless guy again with the same intentions

What about the claims to have seen her on camera in serkeci then cankurtan?

I have an idea: let's just throw out any details that don't fit in with our own personal theories of what happened. That's what LE/MSM is clearly doing. :floorlaugh:

I wonder why she didn't carry an ATM card, she would not have needed her husband to send her money.

Maybe they had different accounts and hers was too low, so he wired money to her account? I dunno just guessing.

Ok so lets say this newest story is true, that she met someone in eminonu went to a bar (in the middle of the day) and then went back to his place.

That would have to mean the police saying they were able to track her body because she was last seen by the cameras in cankurtan and serkeci at 1:15 before that..(and coincidentally Taylan was at the eminonu side of the bridge at 1245 but they didn't see each other).....

So the camera thing wasnt true? They never spotted her on the cankurtan cam?

Ah, if only I were too young to remember. I was young when it happened- but definitely old enough to know what was going on! :blushing:

You and me both. :)

By the way, I love the way you are thinking and find myself agreeing with you all the time.

Thanks for all your inputs. They are very valuable.

But, if the person who killed her and the person who stole her stuff were different people, the scavenger may have left the driver's license with her body so she could be identified.

We know the murderer has her bag which most likely had her license inside. The questions are:

-Did the killer rummage through her bag onsite after the killing? I doubt the license would have been free floating inside the bag, it would have been inside a wallet within the bag I think. Were there other personal items strewn about inside the cave such as credit cards that would have also been inside the same wallet? Or did the killer JUST leave the license?

or

-Did the killer leave scene with the bag, rummage through it, saw the license then went back to the scene late in the evening to return it?

Curious questions

Hey, Beth.

Excellent information. Thank you so much for your input.

Please, please keep us informed.

i, for one, believe this version.

I assume you are in Turkey and I wish to take this as an opportunity to thank you and all the other Turkish locals for everything you do to illuminate and resolve this case.

I also want to say that I have enjoyed hearing from members throughout the world, their opinions and experiences. I was born and was brought up in Europe, and I have been living for many years in the US. I can and want to offer my opinions and hear what every single ones of you have to say.

I find something positive in this very sad time that brought us together. Let's continue be friends and try to understand each other's lives. I know Saria would enjoy that. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. And, I want to tell them she lives on in our lives through her wonderful photos. May she rest in peace.
xo

Could they be saying that they've been able to track her after she was seen on camera at 1:15? Maybe the surveillance stuff is true, but they also know she was elsewhere later that same afternoon. But it's bizarre. In order for that to be the case, she almost would have had to meet bar-guy at the walls, right? And then somehow the two of the left without being seen on camera, only to pop up later at a bar. I don't know. Brain has officially fizzled to nothing.

LE had said they found her body based on where she was headed on camera so I believe they did spot her. Or how they found her was also a lie...

From what we know, the killed probably took anything of value with the bag. If that included an ATM card/debit, credit card, etc...they may have been used, and if so, wonder if LE knows when and where (& in time).

Would the license have finger prints? If he had to remove it from something I would think...
