I don't know how many times I have to post it. But here goes.

I don't think she realized what she had involved herself in. I think in her mind she was just there to meet friends. But she got mixed up in something else (mule) and once she found out she wanted to go home ASAP and couldn't tell anyone because she was afraid she would get trapped in Turkey.

When the problem that she got involved with realized she knew, they fought with her and killed her, maybe even by accident. The crime scene was a set up.

What I do not understand about your theory is if you follow your scenario why she would have walked to those walls alone?

I believe the husband didn't know about Taylan/Tarkan until Sarai went missing. I think he logged into some of her accounts and found his name, IIRC.

Wasn't it said before here that the husband had passwords to her accounts?

sorry if you already answered this -- but it was never published what it was? so weird to mail packages with a trip that short. mail takes ages to arrive to europe from the states.

I agree. Others have speculated that perhaps it was a care package from her mom or something. Having lived overseas, I know that the only way to get anything there in the time frame that she would have had would be via airmail. And that's not cheap. What could possibly have been so important that it couldn't wait another week or so?

Yes, this has bothered me.

ETA - and no, it was never published what it was.

This is very interesting. I hope we find out more about it.

But if she'd been corresponding with other IGers why didn't he find their names? Why pick on Taylan/Tarkan to send a message to?

I agree, I think that packaged must have been mailed to her before she even left. I've mailed lots of packages to turkey and typically it takes at least two wks. My best guess is her mom and boys sent her a care package before she left so she would have something from them when she got there.

yeah, i read people speculating that it could have been phone chargers or something. being a seasoned traveler, there is very little that you can't just replace when you get there. what was so important? and why haven't the US media gotten on that and reported something about it? i'm bothered by it. unless it was some sort of prescription meds -- but those are usually the first things packed. a care package? she was out of the states for a few weeks, this is not semester abroad. grrrrr:banghead:

It could be nothing but yes, mailing a parcel to Turkey is not cheap and can take a couple weeks. It could be her Turkish phone.

Personally I suspect because whoever harmed her, stole her iPad and phone to erase communication history. Maybe they left stuff from Taylan there to make him look guilty. By the time she went missing and her husband logged on this was the only correspondence he saw.

I find it interesting that only after LE received all, even erased gmail correspondence were they able to conclude she had been in contact face to face with other IGer s , and now 4 of the 5 persons of interest have an IG connection to her.

That really bugs me, too. Another aberrant fact.

I once had a camera lens delivered to me overseas (Nicaragua) when I had foolishly neglected to pick it up from the US store and I had left without a lens of any sort for my SLR body. The country did not have the type of SLR camera I had and I really wanted to use this good camera.

It is really expensive to do so.

The only thing I can envision would be a charger for an important piece of electronics. She did have her phone camera but had deliberately left her SLR at home, by reports.

A Turkish phone she bought in the US? To be mailed to her? That doesn't seem to add up

No one deserves to die like this, my friends. That's something that we all can agree on. Is it not?

No one deserves to die in any way, yet when the time comes it can't be avoided. Perhaps, the angels missed her and wanted her back in heaven. She just had to come down to Istanbul for that.

-------------

One day, the Angel of Death entered King Solomon's presence and looked at one of Solomon's subjects in a fierce way, then left.

The man asked Solomon: "Who was that?"

He said: "That was the Angel of Death."

The man said: "I saw him looking at me as if he wanted my soul!"

Solomon said: "What do you want me to do?"

He said: "I want you to order the winds to take me and carry me to India so that I will be safe."

Solomon summoned the angel of the winds, who appeared in front of him with his 660 wings. He carried all winds within his wings. He put the man inside one of his wings and took him to India.

The Angel of Death then came to Solomon again and Solomon said to him: "I saw you looking at one of my people."

"Yes," replied the angel, "I was surprised to see him here with you, because I was ordered to take his soul from a place in India!"

i thought the same. accts were logged into after she went missing. at that point she was dead and they had some cleaning up to do. it's possible they left some emails there to throw off police. but even deleted emails --they are never really 'gone' the fbi would able to get them, surely, right?

Thanks ThinkHard. I wanted someone to put my thoughts into words.

Good question.

My guess is there was some communication he saw that was more than the others, maybe? I really don't know. I read somewhere (I don't have a link) that he said 'where's my wife?' or something like that. Or was that to Ammer/Devon? :crosseyed:

My first thought was Sarai's proper camera. Maybe she wanted to save money on baggage allowance or it was a care package. So many questions I hope we get answers. It's very strange to have a parcel sent to you whilst you are on a short holiday there is a risk you wouldn't receive it on time.

There's something else that strikes me as odd. If the woman did have sex with Takar and she was cheating on hubby, why would the husband and brother immediately fly over there to help find her?

I mean, this indicates to me that he didn't think she ran off with her lover but that he knew immediately that it was very serious. And both of them went, not just one.

So odd.

No I didn't say cookies. They wouldn't have passed through customs anyway.

In Turkey, there isn't that much control over regular airmail. It's the express mail that they focus on.

In my opinion I would go for my children's sake to help find their mum regardless of whom she may have slept with Sarai is still the mother of his children.
