There are some very bitter people making comments there, with a different perspective on the relationship of Steven and Sarai.

Does bring up an interesting point to me: When was Steven Sierra gonna get a three week carefree jaunt to an exotic place to discover himself?

What is the bit about "she was reported as having an affair with my husband" all about? Huh.

Is it normal for Turkish men to wear earrings?, specifically just one in the left ear, as in photo of (supposedly) Taylan. Gayness is not illegal in Turkey but there is no official gay marriage or civil unions there yet; seems to be a point of contention among political parties regarding EU (referenced from Google wiki).

The bathroom sex thing is probably tabloid sleaze headline: Do Turkish bars have ladies rooms at all? Or just one room, or what?

I was wondering if the homeless group have a group structure and a head person, maybe an older man or woman.
I was wondering if that little 'cave' has a nickname, and is perhaps the 'nicest' spot there, out of the rain, etc.
In which case it could be the 'chief's den', as it were.
So, possibly SS had already met with an accident (car, train, falling off wall, being mugged or possibly jumping from a moving car)
and was brought to the cave and covered with a blanket, protected; even though she would obviously die from her injuries.
This is a 'GOOD SAMARITAN' theory.
This would explain why she had been in the cave 2 weeks but only 'dead for 10 days' story.

First of all SS ‘s husband is not talking period. Perhaps the relationship was on the “outs” but a working class church going bus driver would not have had any motivation to have his wife killed. He may have been controlling – but that is not relevant.

Internet scam on Taylan's part and/or fake tour guides (IG "friends"). She was probably robbed at the spot, beaten, thrown from a high place, and body stuffed into a vestibule -

This was a terrible thing - if you have any facts about her husband being the one who arranged her brutal murder - please share!

I have a difficult time reconciling the fact that her husband had her passwords, yet allowed her to go to Turkey alone. It makes more sense to me that she was open with him, and voluntarily shared her passwords.

Left is het. Right is gay. At least, in the states that's how it goes. Although, I wouldn't use that as an accurate way to "cruise" men anymore. It's not as necessary as it once was.

These comments about SS are mild compared to the multitude of comments about her following articles in NY newspapers. This is why it is so necessary that this crime be solved and hopefully Sarai's reputation "restored."

As it stands now, the children of SS and her religious parents have been left with a legacy of shame and embarrassment. Should people be more open minded, certainly. But the community in which they live is not one who sees all this as some great romance, no...quite the opposite.

If the stories are untrue, let us pray that this damage will be undone and these children can grow up proud of their Mother. As things stand now, they face a cruel situation.

I think I tried to explain about the 'good samaritan' : in both Christian and Muslim religion, whether homeless or not, taking care of a dying person is an act of 'goodness'.
(There could be an ex-nun or priest or just religiously inclined person who 'took the dying person under their wing' praying and protecting. In fact I would do that myself even if i was afraid to go to the police for fear of becoming the suspect)

I would like to offer another possibility of knowing someones passwords apart from being controlling.
We(both, my husband and I) have in our desk a little book containing all of our passwords for any and all e-mail accounts and subscriptions to all websites and whatnot. Because we always use for everything a different password combined of letters and numbers and signs, so it's impossible to remember them all. In case of emergency like this, my husband would know where to find it.

I was also thinking about why Taylan would not want to be involved first when Sarai's husband contacted him first, if he is innocent. Maybe he understood Sarai was on a mission to find herself and escape from her life home and he thought she was avoiding to speak to her husband/go home for that reason and he wouldn't wanted to be in de middle of that conflict. ( If he is innocent)

I know my beloved's FB password to play games in his account. It's not a controlling thing. Also, it's entirely possible she kept a password cheat sheet. I know lots of people who do.

I guess some things just don't sit right with me about Steven Sierra. This is partially influenced by my own experiences, but I was raised in a very devout, evangelical Christian community and any and everything possible under the sun, including the most devilish things you can think of, happened within that community. So the statements of him being Christian don't even register with me - people can do things and show no outward signs of having the inclination.

I do think that Steven Sierra had motive, but admit that it's hard to imagine putting all of that effort in. However, people do kill their wives and husbands all of the time, and it takes effort.

There was a story here of a woman who was plotting with a man she was having an affair with to have her husband killed. The police set up a sting and caught her instead, but by faking the husband's death. I guess it's just that even the most outlandish situation can and does happen, so I wanted to throw my crazy theory out there for all to jab.

Respectfully, you are wrong. Right ear is gay. Left ear is het.

Of course, we could be debating this because one of us is referring to the wearer's left and one of us could be referring to the viewer's left.

I don't think your theory is crazy, really, but in this situation, I do not think it is what happened. It is not because I don't think her husband is capable, frankly, I don't know him. However, given their economic situation, I doubt he would murder his way into the poor house. A hitman, transporting the body, he and his brother-in-law flying to Turkey, emergency passports, etc... we're talking upwards of 15k, at least, and that's if the hitman is cheap. I think if he was going to hire someone to kill his wife (which I totally do not think he would or did) he would have done it closer to home.

It just doesn't seem right to me. The guy that had to remove her belongings from the Istanbul police station with a hundred paparrazi blaring their lights and screaming at him was a stunned and weary-looking man under immense and heavy sorrow.

Yes - he had her passwords - there could have been either control or trust or maybe he had her passwords just in case she could not access her account. I guess their business when it comes down to it.
