There are two cold cases from Northern Arizona that have intrigued me for a long time. The first is of Julius Chee from 1966.

Read the article from the Arizona Daily Sun: Cold Case Close-up -- File: Julius Chee (1966)
Included in the article is a PDF drawing of the crime scene. This case is old and most likely was done by people he was drinking with but you never know if there was anything over looked. I've been to the crime scene and it is virtually unchanged but being in the forest any evidence (at the scene) is lost to time.

The second case is a little more recent and has allegations of Navajo Witchcraft. Two links that talk about the case are here: THE FLAGSTAFF SKINWALKER MURDER | Paranormal Amino

Weird Arizona

And this article about the suspect arrested from the NAU Lumberjack is here: Flagstaff Lumberjack Newspaper Archives, Sep 10, 1987

This case is interesting because of a few twists and turns. First the suspect they arrest and tried was acquitted which means that the real murderer is still out there. Personally I don't think he did it and believe he had some significant mental health issues. Secondly there was this element of Navajo witchcraft or "skinwalkers". If someone planted this evidence to look like witchcraft was involved they would have to have some knowledge about that which points to another Navajo most likely and if so was there anyone in her life that was stalking her? An ex? Family member?
