So TS hasn’t visited any of the victims from this in hospital at all?

A bit of pushback from TS side. They must have ignored the many artist who have stopped their events if/when necessary.

“Despite criticism from officials in Houston, Travis Scott's spokesperson and former Baltimore mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, told "CBS Mornings" on Friday that the idea that Scott could have halted the Astroworld music festival is "ludicrous."

"They have a 59-page operations plan, and it clearly says the only two people that are, have the authority to stop the concert, were the executive producer and the concert producer. He was not responsible for this, but he wants to be responsible for the solution," said Rawlings-Blake”

POLICE
"The artist, if he notices something that's going on, he can certainly pause that performance, turn on the lights and say, 'Hey, we're not going to continue until this thing is resolved,' Houston's fire chief Samuel Peña told NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday”

Travis Scott's Communications?
Maybe he’s scared to reach out too to them and how would he have their contact information?... different for Ariana Grande as she wasn’t being held responsible in the eyes of the public. I’m sure he knows he’s probably going to lose everything and he already has lost a lot. We don’t know how he feels.
@Marysmith sbm Agreeing re your point about Ariana Grande performance being different. Suicide bomber's explosion occurred after performance, in lobby as audience was leaving. AG did not encourage attendees to rage or rush the stage; she had no chance to prevent.*

Respectfully disagreeing re these.
---"scared to reach out"? Imo, just following advice of his PR & legal counsel's advice to release a sympathetic but bland public stmt, deflecting blame thru his reps.
And most recent stmt was made thru his reps, not him. Direct communications w family, victims, & fans would be a field of landmines that could be used against him & affiliates in lawsuits.
Didn't he say on SM (Twitter or IG?) I wanna get to the bottom of this to find out what happened? (my paraphrasing) Crowd rushes/surges already happened at two of his events where he incited adience to rage/to rush the stage, etc. He pleaded guilty to crim charges.** Yet his stmt suggests the cause of deaths & injuries this time absolutely mystified him? Baffled him? Sorry, not buying it.
--- getting "contact information"? Re families of deceased fans, since names of the deceased have been made public, how difficult could it be to locate them?
Names of some hospitalized fans were also released.

And
--- "probably going to lose everything"?
--- "he already has lost a lot."
Not sure what kind of loss these refer to.

And
---"We don’t know how he feels."
Agreed, we do not know. my2ct.

I hear you. I want to think the best of him but of course understand that this could all be PR as well. We don’t know. It’s a tragic situation no matter what.

Who is left in the hospital besides the 9 y/o little boy? If TS showed up at my child's bedside I would be in jail.

It's been reported that many were injured. I expect many of the injured are still in hospital.

9 fatalities from the firefighter logs? Did the media miss one? Someone miscount?
Sadly the death count has increased. Another victim, 22 y. o. Bharti Shahani, passed away last night after being declared brain dead earlier in the week.

I have read in passing it was her first concert.
Astroworld victim Bharti Shahani dies nearly a week after crowd surge that killed 8 others

ETA I see now you are referring to the logs from the evening. Not sure if there was a miscount or not.

What a load of spin that is. He's the headliner, on center stage, with the majority of the attention, and a microphone to communicate to everyone. He absolutely could have stopped performing, got the lights brought up and told the crowd to back up. We've seen documented evidence that performers have done this.

Truth is, IMHO, he didn't WANT to stop the show.

Total Spin! I don’t think this train of thought will spin the way he would like it to. The guy has a history that predates this incident. This is a continuation of it. He has chosen not to change anything regarding safety; as a result people are dead. No way around it.

Agree 1000%.

At a show like this, Travis is THE KING. All these people came from around the country just to see him. Those who did pay were willing to invest hundreds of dollars for a ticket, plus parking, plus hotels, plus maybe merchandise.

He is idolized by his audience. IMO, if he had told them he wouldn't sing another note until safety was restored, they would have either obeyed or he could have followed through on his promise.

I'd only known him vaguely as Kylie's baby daddy, but I've learned since this that he has a rabid fan base which clearly cuts across all races and down into very young people whom I would think were too young for concerts. However, based on what we've seen this week, TS appears to thrive on this mayhem. He certainly has encouraged it in the past.

Now all this "what, who me? Oh I simply cannot imagine this happened at my show" is sickening to me.

You sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind. Hosea 8:7

I can’t recall, which one is the billionaire among them?

Kylie, making most of her money from her cosmetics line. I read somewhere that Travis is about $60 million.

The more I learn what happened at Astroworld Fest, it is one giant Charlie Foxtrot.

ADMIN NOTE

Websleuths Terms of Service call for members to include links to approved MSM and/or LE substantiation for ANYthing posted as fact. This is not a new requirement, and has been part of the TOS for quite some time.

Another reminder is to keep the discussion on the tragedy surrounding the loss of 9 innocent young lives at a concert attended by 50,000+ fans less than a week ago. At this moment some 7 short days ago, these 9 young people where alive and well and excited to be at an event that was to be fun and safe. It turned inexplicably into a horrible nightmare that many will never recover from. Chatter about prenups, love interests or even one’s personal music tastes are among the things that are deemed off topic for this thread.

THANK YOU for your efforts to remember these items as you post respectfully and responsibly according to the TOS we all agreed to when we joined Websleuths.
