TX - 3 year old girl found alone

Thank God they found this little girl. 3-years-old and locked up alone - I can't even wrap my head around that.

The father lives in Kingsville and is not the man she was living with. There was no furniture in the apt only a blanket, a pillow and a 9mm. The father had reported abuse of the daughter previously. That's all I know so far.

If she had been in contact with the police even if she didn't come in why would they list her as a missing person? Also my son could open doors at three did they lock it from the outside? Seems to me the bathroom is a very dangerous place to leave a child. Not that there is a safe place to leave a child but there are a lot of dangers in the bathroom. Like drowning in the toilet.

Wow..this case is so strange..a mom that has been wanted by police previuosly and seems like no effort was made to find her, alittle girl whose father reported he felt she was being abused and no arrest made..what is going on. The mother is missing..not missing on the lam..what a peice of work she must be.

Say what? A blanket, a pillow and a 9mm? Wow, that's strange. Sounds like someone was hiding out and on the run. Wonder why they left the 9mm behind.

The doorknob had been inverted and she was locked in from the outside. It doesn't sound like they cared if she drowned in the toilet. : (

Interesting, the article stated that the mom is listed as a missing person? How does that work, sounds more like she is avoiding LE not and actual missing person. WIll they place the baby with the biological father now? If he reported the baby as abused before why were social services not involved before? I am just thankful that the baby is alive and is now safe, so many stories do not end that way

ok the neighbors listened to this baby cry for her Mommy and Daddy for 2 days and then decide to call the police?!?!?!? That is sick! Oh just lovely they also found a 9mm in the apartment that she was in..So they are talking to the guy that lives there..what on the phone? ugghhhh! and the "father", as many injuries as this child has and has had they need to haul both of the male species in, I have a really bad feeling about this little girls female parental unit..

ETA: I love this CPS Specialist! I do not prefer foster care over natural parents, but in cases like this the worker may very well save a life.

I thought it was the little girl's bio father rather than the man who lives in the apartment who police were speaking with by phone. Have they actually found the guy whose name was on the lease?

It sounds to me like the mother and her boyfriend/husband are on the run. What vehicle they may be driving is a big question since their's is still parked at the apartment.

From reading the article I was under the impression that the real father had noticed and reported abuse. If he did this chances are the abuse was not inflicted by him but you really never know. If it was my child and I noticed anything that pointed to abuse on my child after a visit that child would not be going back end of story. Why would this man ler her have this baby when he knew she was being harmed?

My understanding was there is a 21 year old man who rented the apartment and the woman moved in a week ago. He spent a couple days in jail getting out on Sunday afternoon. It was Sunday evening the girl was found locked up in the bathroom. The woman hadn't been seen since Friday I believe. I don't know why he was in jail.
The blanket etc was found inside a closet, was that where she was made to sleep?
In the picture posted of the mother, it lookes to me like she's wearing the type of top a medical worker wears, could she be a nurse or aid?
If the biological father had not seen the girl for a month I don't think he could be responsible for the bruises on her.
The big question is, where is the mother and why hasn't she come forward? She does not seem to be concerned about her daughter or she would have come forward by now.

The apartment is currrently leased to ***************, he was not there when LE responded.
On Oct.8, worker spoke to *********** by phone, he stated a note was found at his residence and he was inquiring as to what was goin on, he was in jaill at the time this went on....

I think something happen to the mother..The guy disposed of her and just left the child where she was, didn't go back to the house..

I think it is interesting that the apt leaseholder says he was in jail, then went to visit his daughter and ex-girlfriend, and didn't come home until "late Sunday night", but the neighbors place him in the parking lot at 4:30pm. If he was in fact in another city at that time with his ex and daughter, that should be easily verifiable. :waitasec:

All the same, it seems like this mother is pretty unstable. I hope they find her soon.
