Police searching for missing 76-year-old man who uses walker, needs medication

Police are asking for the public's help locating a missing 76-year-old man who was last seen in the city's Northwest Side.

Abel Paredes Jr. was last seen April 3 in the 8600 block of Fredericksburg Road. Police say he suffers from a medical condition that requires he take medication.

Paredes uses a walker, and he is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and "wavy ear top length" hair. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a coral shirt.

Fredericksburg RD and the crossing street there, Wurzbach RD, are each fairly major S.A. thoroughfares. Lots of traffic on each.

UPDATE:
According to the Medical Examiner's Office, Abel Paredes Jr. was found deceased at 8801 Cinnamon Creek on May 5. He was listed as a John Doe and not positively identified until May 17. The Medical Examiner's Office says his death was natural.
