Bumping for Alan.

Only that his house, which was listed for sale, is now listed as 'sale pending.'
That just made my heart hurt. Can anyone else imagine packing up you & your spouse's belongings and walking away without your life partner? Divorce or death would be painful but OMGoodness! Missing would and is currently breaking my heart. I 100% understand the possible reasons RG faced that lead to this decision but still OMGoodness how very sad to read it . I'd be SO worried AW could one day escape from his place, where ever it may be, and go home only to find out his SO was gone! And I would not have any idea where my SO could be now! Heavy news.

This seems like a really well thought out murder for hire IMO. I can’t say who I think planned it due to TOS. Someone that knew what Alan drove (especially since he had the rental), who knew Alan’s routines, scoped out a place without cameras within 1 mile of his home, the car was spotless when found and found on the other side of town (distancing it and projecting blame on a seedier character possibly)and why no ground searches by family that live in town. I tend to pay attention to what folks aren’t doing though.

At this point anything is possible. Yet it is all so very, very sad.

Popping in for updates. I just keep praying something will shake loose and there will be a break in Alan’s case. It’s awful to reach this point where there’s almost nothing to say because we know so little.

It's possible that with Alan's income they could not afford the house. So maybe it was more necessity than want to sell.

Maybe both. Too painful to stay there, and perhaps too much of a load for one person to deal with.

Given the list of points you provided, it does seem highly unlikely that some demented hoodlum could have pulled this off, or was incredibly lucky. I tend to agree that this is a pro hit, now that you present us with your compelling points.
There is absolutely nothing that I have heard that would lead me to believe it was any of his immediate loved ones.

I think AW ended up in the landfill, like many do. Do a quick search on crime and landfills; it's quite an eye opener.

So do you think that it was a professional hit possibly by a business partner or a love interest perhaps. I can see where both may have motive

For me I always give those closest the benefit of the doubt initially but as time passes and they aren’t organizing searches or doing other reasonable things it tends to carry the largest amount of weight for me.

As far as dumping bodies in the trash-yes, definitely know many have been disposed of that way, very sad too. The eye opening ones for me are the ones that bury them in their own yard-how dumb is that, but yet it happens so much.

As purely an amateur opinion and speculation, I think it is possible this could have been payback for something having to do with his real estate/renovation efforts. IIRC, AW and RJ had more than a couple properties they had fixed up and sold. Perhaps there was some bad blood with someone involved in those dealings. At least I would look closely there.

This was a guy who seemingly had it all. Nice looking fella, great job, cash to invest in real estate properties, and a devoted spouse. Devoted extended family; a perfect picture.
And sometimes people on the outside looking in can be very jealous of such a happy life.

But most likely, this had to do with money. Perhaps someone felt they were shorted in a deal, or owed AW money. Hard to say, but I think your "hit job" certainly should be explored, and likely has been.

The Mcstay family comes to mind -but why just murder Alan if it had to do with the business?

Where did you get the information that the car was spotless when found? When Alan's niece posted on this forum in the first thread she said that when found the tyres were muddy and the seats were wet - I wouldn't call that spotless. Apart from that I don't recall any other quote from either the police or the family on the condition of the car.

If he wronged someone on a business deal (thinking real estate/construction), death would likely be the price, if it had been a lot of money.
It makes me think of the notorious speculation that Brian Jones (of Stones fame), was (alleged speculation only) drown by a man working on his estate that he owed money to. Never been proven conclusively.

Unless it’s a random car jacking, the connection to his personal business dealings seems worthy of inspection

I agree, maybe that is why the family hired a PI-to dig through all the business dealings and individuals along with what the police are doing

I think of Alan and his family so much, too. Whether it is his charming smile, seemingly absolute dedication to his husband, family and career or simply because he vanished doing such normal activities, this case has really captured my heart. I hope each day that Alan will be found and justice served for any crimes. Some days I think LE is really close to making an arrest but others feel like this is a cold case that's stuck. But either way, Alan has touched my heart and I will be checking in until this is resolved.
Same here.

I recently moved to Dallas after living 25 years in Detroit. I remember when I prepared to move to Detroit from Alabama all those years ago people teased me about how scared I’d be because of all the violence and murders in Detroit. Got to to say, I find Dallas a MUCH more frightening place than Detroit. I’ve been quite surprised.
You are a brave soul.
I live west of Detroit and cringe when I have to go there.
I know there are some beautiful areas around there, but I have gotten lost a few times downtown Detroit and was a nervous wreck. Although, I was a little younger also so there's that.
I know nothing about Dallas but did not think it was as bad as what I have been reading about lately but it obviously is quite a crime based area.
Alan--where are you ?????
What happened ???

I thought that the detective working on the case said that the seats were not wet as the niece stated. I could be mixing up my interviews, but I thought that is what he said. Hopefully, someone will be able to help me out with this!

JMO.

With so little information about Alan, this is my theory at this point. It could totally change if we ever are privy to additional facts. I just hope that he is found. Alan just seemed like such a nice man with a such a nice family.
